Scott Walker was possibly the greatest male UK singer ever. He had a great baritone voice and was handsome but never allowed himself to be commercialized. A trailblazer, adored, imitated but never matched. He sang Jacques Brel better than Jacques Brel. His songs were before their time. I feel sorry for people born after 1970!
I admit that I cannot begin to understand some of Scott’s latest offerings - music or poetry. However, there is no denying the extraordinarily magnificent voice he has, as delivered herein. Somehow, this incredible voice manages to shine through and transcend whatever he offers up to us - and we accept and forgive him everything.
Just fantastic, what a great quality recording. Pity no one has the video footage of any of the Japanese concerts Walker Brothers or Scott. He also did tv sad that we will never see that stuff,
no.i meant the complete audio of all 8 BBC episodes.The BBC wiped the reels,those haven t turned up yet.hopefully one day a private collector will show up with a film of one of the broadcasts.after all,they found some of the Doctor Who episodes that were wiped and thought to be lost forever-a TV station in Australia had recorded them for later broadcast.we can still hope for Scott's BBC TV series to show up...doubtful tho.
@zarathustra1077 Scott did two shows the same day. I taped both shows. Scott did the same songs during both concerts. Other songs are Jackie, Matilde, I don´t want to hear it anymore, Amsterdam.

@milkyway2211 i have a few Scott rarities to trade.i have the complete BBC and a lo fi Japanese performance from tv.the setlist is a different from what u have described here tho ,so maybe there are 2 japanese bootlegs?this version of" we're alone" sounds like it is from the BBC .let me know i can send a list of the very few unofficial things i have.thx
