problem is he still drinks and smokes like a pothead. i suppose these guys don't want that skid row back, even though excessive partying and being belligerent is what made them skid row, and ironically, what made them popular. they were the fist to the establishment. you don't get that without the attitude, drugs and partying. scotti, snake and rachel seem to be fine in their retirement home version of skid row and are likely afraid bach would make things crazy again so they don't wanna open that can of worms. if bach got clean and could control himself (but we all know we can't - we've seen that on the supergroup VH1 show). he can't quit wine or smoking weed. its a part of his DNA. maybe if he was 2 years sober, those guys would think about it.

@@gunnvictorika3418 And Bach still thinks it's '92. Also Bach hasn't changed and Scotti doesn't think it's '96, he sees that Bach hasn't changed and it's now 2024. Scotti and the band have moved on and good for them. Bach can relive his glory days when he was a pretty boy and had a voice, before he turned into someone's grandma shouting at clouds.

​@@panterap0werWell Super Group was almost 20 years ago. He still smokes por but I think he's mellowed out since then and he has a wife and small stepson to take care of and keep happy so I don't think he gets too crazy anymore. Skid Row hasn't been able to reunite due to financial reasons (most likely terms Sebastian is holding out for) and that's it. Rob Affuso implied that it was close to happening, if it weren't for some dumb holdups and we can all imagine that's financial. If somebody threw the right price at them and they could get in a room together, a reunion could happen. Until then it won't.

There's an entire show from the Slave tour when SR played in Japan on here from like 91 or 92, it's pretty freaking good. Probably the best show I wasn't at, it's pretty much the classic lineup with Bas and Rob Affuso. They were on fire back then! During that time, if any band had to go on after SR I'm sure they were hating life.😲

I think the problem lies within the band… if Eriks health would have been the only reason why then would he be able to play with about everybody since he left Skid Row? And why didn’t it work out with NONE of the singers? I love the band to death I saw them several times in the 90‘s with Bach and two times with Erik (he was perfect and the band also was perfect). But let’s face it… I think for ANYBODY who comes from the outside it seems to be impossible to get along with the three guys who know each other since a hundred years. They seem to not really let any singer really fit in. It’s called the Yngwie Malmsteen syndrome. No matter how awesome a singer is… deep down they d‘prefer to do it alone.

"bach knobs" lmao. bro, we're skid row fans. the album is just weak. its a generic 80's glam record. its too light for skid row. its a def leppard album ffs. bach's solo kills it. and its not like im biased towards skids without bach. i kinda liked thickskin with solinger. it had beef. tunes like new generation and lamb were heavy af. this album was not the skid row i grew up to love - heavy, balls to the wall. gangs all here was poppy cock rock.

He sang for 30 seconds and went back to his seat, that is hardly playing with everybody. He also sang one UFO song on Michael Schenkers UFO covers album, he recorded the vocals at his home studio and sent them to Michael. Also he is singing most of the songs on Michael's next MSG album, again recording and sending them to Michael, no touring or traveling as he can't still. So where is this everybody you are talking about?

You are right about the Bach Knobs not giving the album or Erik a chance. It 's not Bach, so they automatically ignored it or hated it without hearing it. That was not fair to Erik, and he is a better singer than Bach. Their producer Nick Raskulinecz said he wanted them to sound more Skid Row and he achieved that, he even reworked whole songs to get that Skid Row sound. When they were done recording the album was like the bridge between the self titled and Slave. Bach fans only think Bach's new record sounds more Skid Row than Skid Row because he's singing on it. I don't think it sounds like Skid Row at all, just another Bach solo album.

They would be nothing without the fans.

Actually, you do. I played drums with my bass player for 30 years. I outlasted his 4 failed marriages, and we were together until he got MS and passed away in 2019. It definitely is like a marriage when you find the right players. It is literally like looking for a brother who was separated in childhood. I think they just literally got sick of Sebastian Bach. Shit, I've never even been in the same room with the guy, and I already know that I would be ready to wring his neck if I were in a band with him. Look at how Scotti Hill is vs. how Bach acts in interviews.

But, you have to share a stage with him. Who wants to see five guys literally looking miserable on stage, no smiling and rolling their eyes everytime bach "tries" to be funny? I want to see a band enjoying what they do and looking happy on stage. It's so easy to say you don't have to marry him or hang out with him when YOU are not the one that has to deal with him. Respect their decision, they do not want to work with him and shouldn't ever have to again.

Bach hasn't changed though and that's the thing. They tried to reunite in 2016, they even had dates set, but Bach demanded a bunch of stuff, opened his David Lee Rothlike yap and ruined it. Proving he hadn't changed one bit. Js

@@shellybean9 everyone mellows with age it doesnt seem like it but 2016 was almost 10 years ago maybe hes gotten better. Again there are ways to do it now without as many headaches.

And what great singer/frontman would want to play with guys that think he doesn't really matter and that he can be replaced any second? Erik was THE PERFECT FIT! Yet they couldn't even work around his medical needs to have some more free time and a bit of a less tight schedule... well if they continue this way... they will have to play that often because they'll have to play the smallest venues and therefore many, many of them. But if they had tried to find a workaround Eriks needs.. they could have grown again and become a bigger act and therefore would have had enough leverage to play bigger venues but less frequently. But I guess they are - as cool as I find them since my teen years!! - in their sixties and they might have become a bit stubborn (if they haven't been stubborn always anyway). But hey: It's a free world I'm sooooooo glad that I've had the chance to see them with Baz in 1990 (that was one of THE best gigs I've ever attended!) an later in the 90's and then with Erik two times! So greatful for that - but I can't understand why they didn't do everything to keep Erik. And I find it disrespectful to Erik to say (Scotti in this Interview) that Lzzy Hale was the best frontperson Skid Row ever had. I love Lzzy - but come on... Erik did a hell of a job! And he was an awesome powerhouse on stage!

Nope Rob is friends with Skid Row and Bach both. He is the neutral in between guy.

Nobody would know who Bach is either if the record company hadn't hired him. He wasn't SR's choice, they wanted their OG singer Matt Fallon. Bach after being fired from Madam X had already given up and gone back to Canada and almost didn't join SR.

his character is not miserable, he's just not for pussies lol. guy's definitely a handful and you can get tired of him if you spend too long around him but noone else is in the same league as an entertainer, performer and charisma. no other 'reincarnation' of the band will ever work the way it did with him. ironically, lzzy hale may POSSIBLY be the only one with whom it would work. she's like a female bach when it comes to on stage presence and charisma (and even looks lmao). but funny how the only workable option is not available.

sebastian absolutely fit the band back then, I dont think anyone except the band knows the back stories...but without sebastian at that time, their stardom would be debatable. there were a ton of bands with great singers back then..and seb took them over the top imo. with that being said, there is too much water under that bridge for a reunion but it would have made a lot of money.
