When my dad was in his death bed, one day I came back into the house after playing my pipes in the garden and he asked me to play The Black Bear one more time for him. My mother was worried that it would be too much for him because his face went very red and he was in tears.

Just to put things straight. Yes there are some Irish pipers in there too. However, they are dressed in Irish attire which is a very modern invention. They are also playing Scottish pipes and not Irish pipes. So like a lot of countries around the world. They enjoy Scottish traditions....
Why are the Irish there at all? 5000 of them turned up in ww2 to fight for the allies. The rest stayed home and shit their pants. Also Allowing german u boats to take shelter there.

No i agree and i apologize i am not informed on the Differences between England ,Scotland, Ireland , bagpipers i could not tell them apart unless somebody shows me the differences but i do like the sound of them .

@@wosse666 The solid orange is usually worn by the Irish. Scots kilts are in the plaid or tartan. It might be the colours of a pipe band or an army unit very often. Scots also wear their clan tartan very often when wearing the kilt for a special occasion. I am a MacIntyre (meaning - Son of the Carpenter) and I wear a kilt in Ancient Hunting MacIntyre on high days and holidays, even the occasional wedding :)

When I hear the pipes it makes me feel proud to be a scot ,fix bayonets and get stuck in lol loads of country's have pipe bands Canada ,USA ,India most country's who were British colonys and full of Scots play the pipes let's be honest the Scots are ferocious fighters pity the SNP are ruining Scotland with a policy of independence,independence never mind the referendum we had 6 years ago which they lost ,currently nearly two years into a pandemic yet all they think about is splitting the union .
