Scottish Flute 33 - Tiernan Courell Interview 

Tiernan is a traditional flute and whistIe player originally from Sligo. I managed to catch him just as he had finished his teacher training course and before he left Aberdeen for Edinburgh. He has been teaching traditional flute and whistle with Aberdeen's Scottish Culture and Traditions.

Trip's next concert will be at the Stonehaven Folk Festival in the Saturday night concert at the Town Hall 8th July 2023. This is a great festival and this year both Nuala Kenedy with her band and Tom Oakes with Ross Couper are appearing in the Friday night concert. A real treat for flute players but also Nuala is taking a flute workshop on the Friday afternoon and Tom is doing a flute workshop on the Saturday morning and if that wasn't enough, Tiernan is taking a couple of whistle workshops for kids on Saturday morning.
