We were asked:
“When USA Kilts started, and Rocky went to the Scottish mills to get material, were they skeptical about how well a US-based kilt company would do? What kind of reception did he get?”
Do Americans wear kilts? Are there kilts made in the USA? What do Scots think of Americans wearing kilts?
We go aboard the Way-Back Machine and take a look at how Rocky started USA Kilts and how he developed his relationships with the Tartan Mills of Scotland and other kilt accessory suppliers.

Very good my clan MacQuarrie were in the area of Mull and Ulva, none are left Clearance ??? I thought Scottish Protestants were removed to Northern Ireland???

Thank you for that detailed info, and yes I am glad that you do business from the USA, now a question, ? Can you do the Heritage of Scotland Trews, found they don't do in Scotland any more, I don't know why!, it is a grand tartan and I loved it, YES, NO, Maybe !!!

So true about other companies helping each other out. When I was looking for a certain tartan, the "local" company (about five hours from Milwaukee) without hesitation, gave me your info. There was no, "hey but we can sell you this as it's close." Nope, they said that you held the license as it were on that specific tartan and USA Kilts is where to go. They even said, "Talk to this guy Rocky, he's the owner, he'll hook you right up." For their honesty in business, I purchased some other items they did have and when I got back to Milwaukee, called you the next business day.
