The Supreme Court in a 6-3 decision ruled in favor of the city of Grants Pass, Oregon, which wants to impose civil and criminal penalties on people sleeping and living in public parks.Justices in the majority said the punishments Grants Pass imposes do not qualify as cruel and unusual.

No where should the homeless should be allowed to camp or sleep on a city street. Move them to the vacant grounds at the edges of the towns

I dont really know which way to lean. Understand the cities concern on dangers , cleanliness , drug use , mental khealth , children !! But what do you do if you cant get shelter , are deemed not eligible (illegals should be banned from state , city shelters ( let DHS , ICE , find them room shelter) , some states for shelter assistance the thresholds to qualify are kinda high , hoops , and paperwork to get assistance. I hope that cities , states can figure way to affordable shelter , housing ??

Shelters all full. Everywhere. But nit your problem huh? It’s only about 100 degrees daily in Arizona. But the homeless can walk around in it? Mist if them fought for your sorry butts to be so amazing.

@traceyholt8223 I like parks where kids can go and play without getting lost in a maze of homeless tents. I like businesses that you can walk down the sidewalk to get to, without being blocked by homeless tents.

@GGIC. Not all homeless people have addictions (either drugs or alcohol). This is the issue - people's ignorance of who the homeless really are, how they got there and the issues they face.

Let’s get some affordable housing. Young and old are not able to afford rising rent and mortgage. Stop allowing companies like Blackstock buy up all our housing!

@@ts73 Many are full and they aren't a permanent place to stay. In New York city, 1 in 83 people are homeless. There are not enough beds in shelters to permanently house them.

Yes, you have an excellent point. Perhaps you could open your home to a few homeless to live with you. I saw a report on one of the main stream networks where New Yorkers were taking homeless, and immigrants into their homes.

@@fsarfino Great for you that you have an income to afford housing and food. These people don't - so how do you expect them to gain a job, while homeless with little clothing and no access to internet, job applications and even a shower for an interview?

The homeless would n will work if help them I know I had a job n was homeless trying to save money to get into apartment with cost of having down payment n utilities n rent up front etc is a lot to save up being homeless n having to buy certain foods to eat or clothing to keep warm or cool etc n then if don't already have a job but looking for one homeless because ur homeless they see u homeless n judge u and makes harder not easier to find work which is ridiculous and it's hard to bath or look clean for work or for interviews I know u r been there yet I'm a good worker a hard worker n got my own home n land know who we look like on our outside lives doesn't define us

Still doesn't help their situation of being homeless and no where to live. Shelters are full, rents are high and most employers won't give them jobs.
