Some people say it really doesn't matter what slingshot (frame) you use. They say it's the band and ammo you use that is the deciding factor. I think people buy different frames just because they look cool and it's what they like. 👍😊
Had an Xt to start off with, then tried an Lt to compare, I found I was pulling at the end of the shot, also found the pinch grip a bit uncomfortable with the Xt ….. The Lt I wasn’t sure about for a while until I found a rock solid anchor point with it, I gave the Xt away as my shooting was way better with the littleun……. have since got a sniper sling robin mini, with the same fork width as my Lt’s…. beautiful slingshot, but I’m no more accurate with it than I am with my Lt…….. it’s a personal choice, we are all individual’s and what works for one may not work for another.
That's my favorite out of the two despite the better Shootout for the xt lol they are both awesome though and I think the xt would be the better choice for half inch bands!
Well done, and nice shooting. I'm a Scout LT fan, may try the new LT2 one day, but it requires you to build tubular bands with tabs, if you use tubes. One question: I'm assuming you are aware that you are twisting your frame a lot, as in your top fork is well forward, and the bottom fork closer to you. Not sure if there is a reason for that. Top reason not to is that you are stretching the two bands to different lengths, which if you do it consistently, obviously can be accurate, but it's tougher to do. Also you are shooting through the forks at an angle, so you have significantly less room for error to avoid fork hits. I would also assume you will get uneven wear on your bands, top band breaking first.
You never mentioned that the fork width (outer edge to outer edge) was different resulting in different anchor points for each frame. That is the most important difference as it effects how you shoot each frame.

The damage on the XT you fill with Epoxy then wrap with paracord around handle or buy a powdered paint that mixes with Epoxy to blend with the color of handle and fill in the crack, Peace.
Can't imagine why people risk breaking fingers with a pinch grip. Why not just use a slingshot that keeps your hands safe with a wrist brace like more should come with? With that said the hammer XT seems like the safest option by far. You get startled while shooting & hit a finger with the pinch grip it's not going to be just a frame dent to worry about.
Don't stick your fingers where they can be shot, shot myself in the hand once and it hurt I got a little scar....but it wasn't that bad and life goes on lol
@@RikklesFisher I've seen some where the steel ball went into their hand. Although, I'm wandering but, don't want to find out how on earth they got that direct of a hit. I have a scout and it is capable of slinging 3/8" steel through roofing tin when pulled back and release quickly on newer bands for sure. I was using a piece that was too small for anything else for target one day and no it doesn't take repeat hits in the same area either. When released fast after draw the bands put out a lot more energy. I've had a fork hit once but not hand yet.
