Come with me as I search Lake Borgne and Biloxi Marsh for more biting speckled trout!
If you saw last week's video, then you know I crushed the specks at a "one stop shop" in the Biloxi Marsh and, with plenty of time remaining during great fishing conditions, it only makes sense to continue looking for similar spots that could deliver the same incredible fishing action.
Didn't see last week's video? Enjoy it here: • SMASHED Fall Speckled ...
So take a ride with me as I negotiate bad weather and unproductive fishing spots to zero in on what could be the location for my next video!
I visit popular fishing spots like Martello Castle, The Great Wall of Chalmette, Bayou St. Malo, Bayou Biloxi and more.
Mash that thumbs up if you enjoy the video and be sure to subscribe so you don't miss the next video.
Thanks for watching!

I think the most amazing thing about this video is the fact that you said you saw the first other boat out there. I've been fishing out of shell beach 4 out of the last 5 days and every time I started catching trout I had almost 10 boats on top of me within minutes. Or I wanted to go to a spot and someone was already there catching trout and I dont like moving in on someone elses fishing unless its diving birds lol

Well, I did get out there early and I did make a run to get away from the community holes. There really are no secret spots anymore, but there are definitely some that are less-known and see lower boat traffic. Sometimes putting up with other anglers is the name of the game. Thanks for watching!

Man that was a hammer trout. I like watching how efficient you are a covering water and finding fish. Sometimes that's my problem is I'll sit in one spot to long not catching enough or the right ones.
@LAFishBlog
@LAFishBlog 2 года назад
I will cover lots of water. It's typical to fish 15 spots, and only spend 5-15 minutes at each one, and only have a few of them produce. However, with bass fishing from Louisiana to Florida to Tennessee I have found that to be different. Speckled trout and redfish are nowhere as "smart" as bass are. I feel that, for the most part, if specks/reds are there all you have to do is get a bait in front of them. If inshore anglers (who aren't catching as much as they should) #1 mistake is spending too much time at an unproductive spot, then mistake #2 is not getting a good presentation on fish. But bass....you can get a bait in front of them and that's not enough. I think nuance comes into play with bass fishing and that's one reason I've pursued bass fishing and it has made me an extraordinarily better inshore angler. You can flip a whole shoreline with a jig and not get a bite, but go back down it with a Texas rig and annihilate them. You know how it is, probably better than anyone watching these videos.

@@LAFishBlog This is true. When fishing tournaments on the south shore I find that I catch way more reds than bass. I also find that sometimes if I can't make them eat it I will just piss them off with loud annoying lure. That sometimes works.

I am able to achieve long term fishing sucess because I take time to scout new fishing spots, just like what you see in this video. But there's a lot of marsh out there, a lot of unproductive water. So how do I know where to go and what lure to use? That's what I teach inside LAFB Elite: www.lafbelite.com/join/

I love shell beach it's my favorite place to go but I haven't been far cause I only have a kayak, you probably won't remember but you helped me pick a fuego rod to go with my tattula ct100xsL at the last tent sale , can't wait to go back I've caught my biggest trout there I didn't weigh it but it was like 23" on a Paul brown soft dine

How has that reel treated you? 23" is a great trout for Louisiana, so whatever you're doing, keep doing it.

Awesome stuff, your going keep me somewhat sane this winter. Wife and I are unable to head south this year. P.S. you didn't count the hammer trout you caught earlier, so 0ne more for the tally, lol.

Hey John, I understand and I do appreciate you watching my videos. Marsh Man Masson and Louisiana Fishing Produce Man are good channels, as well. Also, I am bad at counting fish. :/ lol

@@LAFishBlog I watch both of them. Ditto here, last year brother and I catching fish and I asked him after quite a few fish "Hey are you counting your fish, he says I thought you were", fun stuff. Thanks.

I understand where you're coming from but, as respectfully as I can possibly say this, if I can get out there and grind then so can anyone else (to include you). In addition to this I've created a FREE course detailing how it is I find and catch speckled trout and redfish based upon the conditions we are currently seeing. That course is Fall Fish Location and you can find it here: www.lafbelite.com/course/easily-locate-speckled-trout-redfish-during-the-fall-pattern/ It really doesn't get any easier than that and everybody who's taken time to go through the lesson content has come away with a better understanding of where it is they need to be casting a line (and catch fish as a result). Thanks for watching.

dude should really consider not keeping ice in the bag over fish. specks have delicate meat and they keep best in a slush ice water!
