again my theory is: Each SCP-001 comes from different realities, and when those realties experience an XK-class event, they either are transported, or transport themselves, or other, to a different reality. Kinda like the Reality Alliance where when one reality experiences an XK-Class event, they will send the most important SCPs do different realities with the Foundation.

Theory: O5-13 has been lying to O5-1 about the whole thing and has been messing with him for centuries

I think my favorite of these is O9's "Atlantis." A mythical location with anomalous properties that is impossible to locate despite many people searching for it for who knows how many years, which may not even exist? Sounds like the Factory to me.

I believe O5-1's perspective is the one most accepted among the community. My only issue is that there's not enough mention/clarification on the Master Foreman and The Investor. (Master Foreman is a title meant to refer to whoevers in charge of The Factory, while The Investor is a humanoid connected to Mr. Night, helping The Factory Expand)

Maybe ALL the O5 members are right even thou their tales are contradictory. This is supposed to be about anomalies after all.

I am making a truly gut-renching origin of SCP Foundation or in this case, the one true SCP-01 to rule them all. What you basically need to know is, the foundation was originally founded in alternate reality of real world under the name "Science, Cult and Philosophy." This group would make their first anomally SCP-682, a normal lizard turned into unkillable monster through brutal and horrific experiments, involving both science and sorcery. The last anomally would be the original Scranton Reality Anchor, which SCP-682 damaged after going insane. The result was breaking if reality which made Multiverse of SCP-Foundation as we know it today. This story also ties in with SCP-3790 because 3790 is where it all began. Entities like Mechane, Yaldabeoth, Scarlet King are all human aspects made divine manifest and Collective Conscious Entity which feeds on pain, anguish and suffering is cullminated guilt of original SCP-Founders after creating SCP-682, thus giving 682 reason to hate humanity and that entity.

I remember reading a story that suggested that none of the SCP-001 proposals are real, that one of the other SCPs are the real SCP-001, with it's true significance hidden. In the story, it suggested that the real SCP-001 was SCP-184, due to the entire universe being the result of leaving it in an enclosure for billions of years

So many different stories about a simple factory, from the absurd and the grim. Whichever the truth may be, one thing to be sure is that the factory is dangerous. It is out there, and it will get what it wants. I personally want to believe 05-1's story as it is often the most frequently visited and fits the most with the origins of SCP. 05-13 also has an interesting way of putting it.

What if the factory is actually the scarlet king itself? Just think about it, scarlet king is starting to exist when the scp foundation is starting to exist too, and the origin of scp foundation is from the factory itself

My personal theory based on how they all had different stories is that the factory does exist but it is protected by an anti meme that let's you know only vague details about it; like that it produces anomalies but erases the rest of the details from your mind and creates a false story where you see yourself as either responsible for the factories creation or as there when it was discovered/created

I think the best possible answer is that all of the SCP-001 proposals are actually SCP-001, but that SCP-001 is the collection of proposals itself. Each proposal is but a part of SCP-001, but that they are all just parts of SCP-001. In this way, SCP-001 is the foundation itself, and the anomalies that spurred its creation. SCP-001 is the who, what, where, when, why, and how of the foundation. All anomalies that come after SCP-001 are merely addendums to that which the foundation exists for. This particular proposal is a sort of memetic anomaly that influences the O5 council. It's an anomaly that exists because the foundation exists, but that doesn't make it any less dangerous as its effects can be realized via each of the O5's various interpretations of the memetic effects. Each perception of "the factory" is likely just what each individual member thinks of when someone says the words "the factory" to them in the context of some kind of anomaly the foundation has a connection to.

I have a personal headcannon of which 001's are real: the Scarlet King, the Prototype, the World's Gone Beautiful, the Frontispiece, the Gate Guardian, the Sheaf of Papers, and Normalcy. But the theory that there is no 001 holds water in my opinion.

I bet EVERY SCP-001 entry is canon. The thing is, though, that the O-5 Council keep tabs on the SCP-001 entries (the anomaly that first caused the formation of the Foundation in that reality) from other realities. So when new SCP-001 proposals show up, it's them learning of yet another reality forming their own Foundation.

Most plausible and scary IMO is the idea that The Factory is a being or force that influences other machinery into making anomalous products...that would mean it could effectively pop up anywhere and potentially anywhen.

I think the conflicting versions of the factory is a product of SCP-001, the Magic Bullet Conspiracy

My favorite version of the factory is a tie between 05-5, 05-7 and 05-9.

This is off topic of this video Is it possible to kill SCP-682 if you overwhelm his adaptive abilities to a point were he can no longer adapt, though I doubt the O-5 council would permit such a test in fear of SCP-682 not only adapting to an almost infinite amount of damage sources but also mimicking the traits of all sources making him temporarily more powerful.

I personally believe SCP-001 is not an object. Not a location, not an anomalous entity at all. I feel like SCP-001 is a test for Foundation loyalty. A system to filter out the more "eager" ones. A type of a test where they make one SCP designation so notorious and mysterious, just to see who would commit protocol breach to access/discover it. If you get interested in it, and your superiors tell you it doesn't matter or it's nothing to worry about, starting deeper investigation would mean you're potentially a red flag to Foundation security/stability, and they'll be watching you more.

I think , that real 001 is Foundation. And every 001 has some little piece of truth or metaphor in it, that defines or describes Foundation or reason it exists.

I like how all Apollyon SCPs are 001s.

I like to believe they are all correct and some how from different timelines and realities and that there are multiple factories. It would also explain why there are multiple scp-001s because in their own reality they are 001 and its information shared between different foundations but some how still only 1 05 council that has been calling the shots.

I'd say that it's a bit of column A & a bit of everything else. There is a possibility for all SCP 0001 entries to exist if you think about it multi dimensionally. There can also be a case of being of what there is and what isn't like Sro-whats-his-names-cat. There is a cat in the box, you know it's in the box, but is it alive or dead or both? You can apply, roughly, this same line of thought to SCP-001. It ain't the correct one, but it's close enough.

so a thought just came to me. what if 096 is a fey that was captured and tormented untill it became what it is now. that would explain its ability to know it has been seen as well as its resilience and unnatural speed

Considering it's the O-5 Council and considering how big of an issue this thing is? I really don't think they know. The #1 thing keeping things running smoothly is a veneer of competence. 05--IV didn't tell a story. He talked about how to deal with it. Thus his version is likely correct, because it assumes the least.

Havent we only seen proof of "The Gate Guardian" existing in these videos as opposed to the other SCP-001 entries? After all, there was an elimination attempt of 682 by putting it against the gate guardian. Just a thought.
