I dont think 96 would have stayed so quiet, and it would have chased 106 more aggressively. Shyguy is also much harder to stop or slow down than what a few metal spears or darts would do. Then again, the pocket dimension has totally different physics

And it seems to me that you don’t know that SCP 106 in his pocket dimension he is a god. In his pocket dimension, he can equate the powers of a modest person to those of an ordinary person.

This activity can continue for days, with some subjected individuals being released for the express purpose of hunting, recapture, [DATA EXPUNGED]. The inner dimension accessed by SCP-106 appears to be only accessible by SCP-106. Recording and transmission devices have been shown to still operate inside this dimension, though recordings and transmissions are very degraded. It appears that SCP-106 will “play” with captured prey, and appears to have full control of time, space, and perception inside this dimension. 106 would fuck with 096 until it got bored of it not dying and he'd go find someone else to play with.
To be honest when 106 reached up to grab 096 for a split second it looked like he was gonna grab his butt and while 096 was lying on the spike as 106 got close to 096's face it looked like he was gonna kiss him or something

The thing is, 106 likes to torture people and hear their screams, which 096 does, but 106 gets the most enjoyment by killing them. Which 096 couldn’t do, so he let 096 go

I know i'm late but here is the explanation Scp-106 is covered in a fluid that acts like an acid. He tried to melt Scp-096, but failed because Scp-096's bones are undestructable. At this point, Scp-096 is scared of 106 and he won't attack it. Scp-106 then learns he can't kill him and he left it alone. For the wall thing, they are in Scp-106's pocket dimension, and Scp-106 has complete control over it. He can also enter and leave (in fact, he doesn't go through walls, he makes "portals" On each side so he can enter in the pocket dimension and leave at the other portal)

I only just now realized, after the 6th time of watching this, that I finally know what 106 looks like... He looks like a man made out of cranberry sauce.
The music at the end was perfect. That mercy to not completely eradicate 096 who's just lying there beaten and crying speaks volumes. I'd love to see a story following the aftermath on how this battle changed both of them. I loved it!
I feel like this is the first time 106 has ever truly felt pity for one being. It seems like he knows that 096 is bound to suffer eternally and can never die, so he decides not to torture it because its very existence is living torture. "Can't break what's already been broken".
That moment when he makes a short surprised sound right before being dragged into the floor :D I feel bad for the poor guy, he is just shy to the point where he can't bear being looked at, while the old man is a sadist.
