Blood on more than just his hands. Before he was written weeping for his wife and children in the SCP-verse, he spent an awful lot of stories... forcibly copulating with mortals, including by turning into a *swan* (one of those species with a corkscrew-shaped cloacal phallus and habit of pushing the struggling female underwater).

The singular of "phalanges" is not "phalange". It's not even "flange", although that's not a bad try, and it might be a cognate. The singular of "phalanges" is "phalanx". Also, the plural of "sphinx" is "sphinges". Also, "Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow!" is a much niftier pangram for demonstrating a new font than, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."
