@@afluffydeathclaw2644 I think that’s actually one of the “methodological issues” that the report was being flagged for because one of first tests performed on it was a choice between a human carcass or chicken carcass and it chose the latter.

what i love the most is the D class perosnal becoming literaly like a brother to it. im suprised though the d class dosn't become a C class resercher or at least immune from the whole *end fo the month time to yeet and deleate*
When it was first acquired, they simply labeled it as “Just Another Murder Monster” and locked it in a metal box for 10 years, never considering that it might’ve just been scared and hungry.
I know 999 is the best boy, but damn if 5031 isn't a strong competition 😂 This is what I love about SCP! It isn't just scary monsters that do horrible things to people or interdenominational horrors beyond our comprehension. It's a big jello monster that eats candy and smells like fresh laundry. It's a book that allows you to go on adventures when you fall asleep. It's this boy who loves cooking and Ben Folds! There is SO MUCH creativity in this community! So many amazing stories and characters that we would have never experienced if not for this incredible community writing project.
Although it is still technically a ketter class SCP. It should be noted that it was put into a "safe" level containment cell. And now works at the cafeteria for the site. 5031 has also been seen playing in the cafeteria and providing live entertainment for all staff involved. Armed guards are told to not have their weapons in the cafeteria as to not raise the stress level of 5031
You missed the point on this one my guy, they're not training it, they're using a methodological approach to determine its intelligence, the horror comes from them having locked a sapient critter in a box for a decade cause they didn't even care to check if it could think.
I kinda like the timeline on this one tho. A decade before 2018 was not too long after some seriously devastating murder monster incidents, including the whole 096 debacle. The Foundation was most likely a bit trigger happy with apparent murder monster incidents and were just happy to keep things in boxes. After a while of relative peace, some researchers and a lot of new researchers realized a lot of these methods weren't exactly palatable and started to make changes.
@@douglaszelazny1094 I'd say probably not, but I'm sure 999 would be smart enough to not look at it so he could hug 5031. Or maybe as 5031 becomes more "human" it is something he can control and choose to let people see him.
Hard part. 5031 doesn't really like being watched or touched. I mean, it does enjoy painting and such. But, its true love is cooking and does the cooking alone and out of view. So good luck hugging it.
The first several tests weren't training, they were stress reduction exercises then seeing since it has preferences and can learn simple games then need to see how smart it actually is.
The SCP wasn't a monster. It was an intelligent being that liked food and didn't like being locked in a dark box alone for ten years. They just treated it humanely and tested its intelligence. A starving dog can look like a monster, too. Heck, so can a human.
Haha .. they're just doin stuff right now .. Okay gonna explain. First test established that the creature prefers music to ambience. Indicating a taste in music that goes beyond just 'liking pleasant sounds.' Efficacy of music's decline reveals that the creature is capable of boredom. (10 years alone in a cell my brother in christ no wonder it was screaming.) The Play test was probably first perceived as an attack but after the bowling ball the creatue learned that 'balls are for play.' and the second soft ball was not destroyed. Also rolling 2 balls together while simple qualifies as a game. Another indication of sapience. Food test establishes MANY things. First that the creature prefers NOT to eat humans. Second that given similar quality it will select for quantity. Third that given the choice it WILL take quality over quantity. Third that it selects food based on taste and does not have overly predatory instincts. Preferring just taking the tasty food over engaging in hunting behavior. And the final test established that the creature CAN be sated. Indicating not only that but that likely while the creature would not die from lack of food. It was probably mad with hunger. Perhaps indicating that though it could sustain itself in other ways this was not a good time for it. (10 years .. my fucking god.) The symbol tests are also just as methotical Establishing it's ability to link cause and effect and extapolate scenarios. Every test they did was very specificly testing the creature. Establishing it's capactiies and learning more about it. That's why I love this one so much the tests are so well written and you can see wheyre they adapt when a test fails.
I kept waiting for it to get horrifying but surprisingly it made me want to hug SCP-5031 and hang out and cook it. I feel warm and fuzzy now which almost never happens with an SCP.
scp 5031 much like scp 1471 is just misunderstood and just needed more testing. its why I think malo isn't evil but is actually trying to be friendly but they look so scary they come off as terrifying to the average person, malo scp 1471 has never actually killed anybody themselves only accidents around them kill people.
This is my favourite scp. Because it shows that no matter what you think you know, you know nothing. Abandon all assumptions and only then will you see the truth.
@@OldManReacts i know but what i read and listened it doesn't say anything that its trying to escape or something trying to get to it only how it was violent at the start and stress out and now calm and a great chief it doesn't report any containment breach's and by quote ''The structure must be inspected for imperfections on a bi-weekly basis'' meaning it needs maintenance suggesting it better as eucild
It was intended as an example of being way too reactionary, and jumping to conclusions, based on appearance, and lack of understanding. It's a reasonable assumption that 5031's OFFICIAL classification is safe.
This just makes me sad because: 1. no person will ever see it. 2. It will require constant attention, and if it does not get it, it will likely murder people.
