I like it sometimes when dangerous anomalies are classified as safe while harmless and even beneficial anomalies are classified as Keter, this show what the object classification is truly about how containable it is instead of how dangerous it is. That's what the color coded threat level is for.

not sure about different object's displacement and and spacetime(?) distortions, but I've heard the US Military came up with a directed weapon that uses bone induction to put words seemingly into a targets head at a distance... maybe it's possible to vibrate specific brain areas at resonant frequencies to induce particular mental states, such as amygdala resonance to induce a fear response, or even the visual area to induce hallucinations, such as of things moving around the room...

If the minimum intensity started at 26%, that means it was used extensively before that. Obviously this satellite came from an alternate Universe, where the SCP Foundation constructed it to deal with an XK-event and used it at an intensity level which caused reality-warping so extensive it sent the satellite to a parallel Universe.

My theory was that the Foundation used a type of anti-meme on it's construction, so that GOIs wouldn't try to hack into it's system and governments can't learn about it since it is a really powerful weapon. But then something went wrong, and the foundation itself forgot that they constructed it at the first place.

The story from the beginning reminds me of the psychic drone event for the game Rimworld, an ancient machine somewhere whispers into the mind of humans and animals. Higher intensity drones tend to cause people and animals to go insane, as the whispers turn to screaming causing massive mood debuffs, it can challenging to deal with, and can cause your colony to become a bloodbath as people fly into a murderous rage, or just fall into a catatonic state. not only are the effects similar to that of the drone in game, and some of the mental breaks that accompany it, but the ridiculous damage to individuals who fought each other also keeps in line with Rimworlds sometimes questionable damage system where squirrels can kill people in power armor. I wonder if Rimworld was a bit of an inspiration for this SCP.

SCP - 923 means its one of the older SCPs, depending on just how old it could be the other way round. Maybe the Psychic Drone event in Rimworld was inspired by SCP -923.

Food for thought: We've tested on the strength, effects and radius of the beam, but have we tested if we can interfere with the beam itself? If we can somehow manage to affix a mirror right in front of the blaster and ensure the mirror's reflective surface always faces away from Earth, and if the beam _can_ be redirected like normal light rays, then it'd effectively be contained as the beam will always reflect off into space and will never hit Earth unless the mirror detatches. And hell, if it hits an alien planet, who cares! It's not Earth.

Beam goes through walls and other materials perhaps they can see if the beam's effective range fluctuates with material(s) in the way of the beam. If it is found that beam is absorbable by materials, it would be possible to nullify affected areas as well as stop a end of the world scenario from acourring. Of course the beam might be capable of going through everything and the point of impact is always the subject's body(possibly head since termination has acourred via maddness).

I have noticed your animation has improved substantially and I love it. Fantastic work Doctor Bob. But I must admit: the idea of a killer satellite that: -Kills on Command by the 05 Council -Was cancelled at one point but is somehow in orbit (Splinter timeline perhaps) -Has a nasty case of Splash Damage that progressively grows in radius and intensity in accordance to the laser. -A Death Ray that doesn't kill on contact, but instills hysteria, paranoia, fear and excessive rage -And resulted in an entire site being locked off and is among the 7.5K satellites in orbit. All of this is True Chaos At least we can trust the 05 Council to make sure this thing doesn't show it's true colors

We can add professional boxing/street fighting to the EXTENSIVE list of Dr. Bob's talents. Dude can throw hands while also seeming to be immune to the SCP's effects.
