SCR and TRIAC: Test With Multimeter and in Circuit 

An SCR and TRIAC can be easily tested with a MULTIMETER and with a basic circuit.
The terminals of the SCR are Cathode (K), Anode (A) and Gate (G).
The basic SCR and TRIAC test circuit allows you to check that the SCR or TRIAC switches when a current is applied to the GATE.
