He was absolutely right that the clues were strange, but with the right letters, doable. One of the keys, though, is patience; he hit that plunger way too early that the 2nd letter didn't show. I remember one guy making the same mistake with 3.4, but the next week a guy let the second come up starting with 3.3, it was key, and solved it with 0.2 remaining.
