Scrap/Off-cut Wood Projects You Can Sell

I've been looking at projects I can build with Off-cut/Scrap Wood. As woodworkers we generate a fair amount of scrap wood and throwing it out is heartbreaking. In this video, I consider bentwood lamination as an option for scrap wood projects.
MAKING A BENTWOOD LAMINATION LAMP.

Bent wood lamination is an awesome way to use up off-cuts and scrap wood, but if you are wanting to do thus on a regular basis I would suggest using a bandsaw instead of the table saw as the saw curf is a lot thinner which would mean less saw dust and more useable strips. Hiding the cable inside the wood was a brilliant idea as well 👍

I like the lamp. Nice idea, a bandsaw might cut down on wasted wood from the saw kerf. But either way it was wasted wood without a home. So its still a win.

Loved the video, loved your work area! I have two sheds here in Scotland (8x6) so it is a bit tight to fit all my electric machinery needs into the work area's! So I created 5 work tops that fit onto the main table, but it is not a patch in what you have in your work shop! I will keep watching and learning even at 70 years young! Many thanks in the wood bend/clamping! Am switched on!

That lamp looks amazing well done 👍 I’ve got a dust bin full of scraps at most no longer that 30mm,I keep saying I’ll Chuck them on the wood burner but cannot bring myself to do it I’ve used many of them for projects where I need a small piece which saves cutting a new length

I watch this video for the first time a couple months ago and I found myself actually going to it the last four days like it was drawing me in to watch again or something LOL just watched it again for like the third time today. This is seriously so awesome it’s something simple it looks to us watching but I know it takes time and effort may be a little bit of math but definitely some measuring. I just thank you very very much for your cool ideas, you’d be amazed how much little things like this inspire people like me. Thank you so much. It’s awesome and I think the little glass lamp shade goes perfect with it.

Very neat, simple project that can be extended to a lot of cool designs, thanks for sharing it! As far as waste goes, even if it weren't a scrap piece, consider what you'd have to do to get similar curves with a solid piece of wood. Talk about waste! The real trick to this is figuring out how to line up the grain so it doesn't look like it's been laminated. A buddy of mine made a floor-standing lamp using a spiral, bent lamination out of walnut. It's absolutely beautiful, and I only saw the lamina when he told me that was the technique he used.
