Once again a video that shows me why I love your channel so much. Not only the projects you do are AMAZING (!!!), also just watching you work inspires me and teaches me tricks to become better myself like pooring the glue into a plastic box and dipping the wood pieces in it which is much faster than putting the glue on each seperate piece of wood. Or the use of the rubber band. My solution (and I am not going to say how I would have done it... 😓) would have been so much more complicated. Sometimes it is the small things that make your channel so great... And boy, I love your lamp!!! 💕😍💕 Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
You sir are a master craftsman. I thank you for your professionalism and good works. Yours transcends, not only wood and metal working, but also video recording, editing and publishing. A hard working family man with morals, patience, foresight, strong standards and an eye for details - This is what our world needs today. Thank you for these lessons. I believe your work (and sharing it with us) means more than you know.
You mentioned Frank! You two are my favorites because you both always have elegant solutions to tricky problems. Plus you explanations are always spot on. Thanks for another great one.
Thanks for putting all your time into your videos for us! Always enjoyable, inspiring and full of great ideas and content. While your personal projects were falling behind, we’ve really benefited from it!
August 2019 was when I think I found and subbed the channel, keeping up to date with new releases. Today with this one down (one of my favourite turning videos I think I've ever seen btw) I am now up to date with the entire back-catalogue too. The channel has inspired not only my learning the hobby of woodworking, but to improve my video editing too. I don't think I'll ever come close on either front, but intend to have fun trying. Cheers Neil, and congrats on the Makers Mob hook up.
Beautiful lamp. When I make a swag lamp, I use a large metal eye bolt that is drilled up the center so the wire runs up the bolt and there is no need for a second wire hole in your shade.
What a gorgeous lamp... Nice work, Pask! I really love your Scrapwood Challenge videos. Oh heck, I really love ALL of your videos! Thanks for taking the time to make them for us!
you by far, have one of the most creative minds i have seen anywhere! after seeing this lamp, it explains where ya been for the past month lol great job!
On a lot of those tiny cable clamps, there's just enough intolerable variation between the damn bolts that you can't use the usual wrenches or nut-drivers for the job. By the time you "shave" off enough of an appropriate nut-driver, there isn't enough steel left to take the torque... It's infuriating. ...SO a lot of us ordinarily hate those clamps and avoid them like the plague... BUT when you have little or no other choice... get the needlenose... it's the best remaining tool in the kit. ;o)
Thanks Michael! I only have one set of spanners and the one I needed (8mm) was missing, I looked everywhere and decided it would have to be the long nosed pliers. I found the 8mm spanner this morning though! ;)
Well done. Looks very nice. I do like the look of segmented turnings. I have done a couple. A lot of work compared to turning from a single piece, but as you said very good to use up shorter offcuts and scraps. Dave.
All your projects are super, you are a true craftsman, I wish you had my rugged good looks and I your skills LOL, thank you for sharing your talent. Greetings from Alabama.
Beautiful. I'd probably change the hanger to an upside down carriage bolt with the thread ground off and a simple hole for the cable. Maybe also use crimps instead of rope grips. In saying that, beautiful turning work, super jealous.
Hey, win-win. I, for one, would happily watch you knocking off items off your honey-so list. (Yeah, we all got them too.) Pendant light looks great BTW!
Hi! I just stumbled upon your channel very recently and want to say a big Thank You! to you. :) Your videos are very well made and also very inspiring, to say the least! I was planning on building my own workshop for quite some time now and you might just have given me the last inspiration I needed to actually do that. Thank you for that! :)
