I love all the fun embellishments you found in your stash to add texture and interest and go with your theme! Also, I would stay away from the fire wood for the reasons you love it … no spiders for me! 😂😂😂
Lol, I really don’t like spiders but it is interesting to see them up in the woods. We have found some really creepy ones! The salamanders are my favorite though I could do without the spiders.
Love the layout Erin. I like that your strips were not dove-tailed in this layout. It gave a more finished and uniform look. Sure hope SU puts together some wood and acrylic pieces like CTMH did. I missed out on much of that and wish I had looked into CTMH much earlier than last year to build a stash of acrylic/wood elements. Love this pack of wood elements you used here. I agree with you on firewood, etc. I also love the smell of wood burning with oak trees like I have here. Nothing better than the crackling “snap” of oak firewood burning! ❤❤❤
Speaking of adding dates to layouts. I am behind on my scrapping by several years. I have a kallax unit that we added drawers to. Each drawer is a year (2018, 2019 ect) all memorabilia and photos go in those drawers until it is time to play with them. At the end of the year I place the matching planner in that drawer also so I always have a record of dates to reference when working and journaling. This method has really saved me from a few brain farts during school field trips and vacations. Before I used planners I would just print my Goggle calendar for that year and place it in the drawer.
That is a fantastic idea to keep the planners with that year's drawer. I've had to start keeping vacation journals because I am behind also. Will we ever be caught up? I am thinking probably not, lol
Thank you Jennifer, I don’t use these idea books nearly enough. I am always happy with the finished result when I do. It’s always nice to use up some embellishments from my stash
Erin, the finished page looked really good. When you were mentioning that the components in the book on page 73 also came in white & timber, it is good for newbies to know that the white elements are great as you can colour them with textas into whatever shade of colour that you wish. So the sky's the limit by using them. I was a consultant for a long time before I heard that from someone & wished I had known earlier as I never used any of them, so now I always buy a packet in white so that I do have the option of changing their colour to suit my page.
I love how you always balance your design elements so perfectly while explaining your process. The layout gets a giant puffy heart from me. Can you share how you organize your foam sponge daubers please?
Thank you Jean! I love the giant puffy heart comment, that’s a great compliment in scrapbooking lingo 💕 Are you referring to the Ranger handles with the removable foam circles or the finger daubers?
@@jeanewatsonjones1664 I don’t have a great idea for the daubers but I have a system for the foam circles that is working well for me. I have a video showing it so I’ll try to locate which one. If not I’ll show it in an upcoming video. I use little 2x2 coin bags that I label with my label maker and then store in a skinny clear tray.
