Today, I’m sharing a hybrid TN (Travelers Notebook) that was made using my Cricut and products from CVS Great Escape.
In this layout, all the journaling, embellishing and title is clustered in one corner of the layout- in this case, an oversized photo with lots of white space. A strip of patterned paper was adhered to the top edge of the photo layer (it measures 4.5x8 inches) and the tag over that.
The base for my TN layout was created in Cricut DS (Design Space). It measures 4.75x8.25 inches, which means there’s a 0.25 inch border around the photo layer. With the gutter attached, the entire layout base measures 5.5x8.25 inches.
I can’t remember if I’ve ever shared my process for making a TN layout base- I may have, but I’m going to share it again anyways 😁
It’s very simple: using the shapes function on the left hand side of your canvas in Cricut DS, create two rectangles, one measuring 0.75x7 inches, and the second 4.75x8.25 inches. Line both images up so that two edges meet.
Next, select center vertically from the drop down menu in the tool bar at the top of your canvas. While your image is still highlighted, select weld from the bottom right tool bar in DS.
Congrats! Yiuvd just made a layout base! Next is the best part: decorating!!
