The scraper is defiantly an art, that pusher you were mentioning is called the ejector, in a real scraper you have your your belly up/down one way on a joystick, and your ejector the other way on the joystick, and the front gate is a thumb switch on top of the same joystick, then your normal pedals and steering wheel, front and rear engines, 2 gas pedals, front hook to have 2 scrapers tagging along, or a dozer like you said. Welcome back medic. Belly scrapers are normally front wheel drive and depending on the model, they also have a scooper as well to help fill the belly as fast as possible without losing too much speed and getting stuck. That machine is awesome and yes, a grader would be awesome to see. Keep having fun!

That’s a beautiful Cat belly scraper. You can use the belly to smooth out after you dump the load by lowering the belly and then backing over what you just dumped to smoothen it out. I’ve seen full-size scrapers do it.

I have seen these things all over the place and never understood exactly how they work or what they do until seeing an RC one work 😂 Go figure!

It is a bit of an art to use them well. However, once you get good with it, they work so well. I spent hours running mine at Cabin Fever this year building an overpass. Once you get good with the ejector, you can level things out beautifully. I have a ton of RC Heavy Equipment and this is probably my favorite thing to run. 😃 I have a Road Grader; it's an ERTL conversion and works wonderfully. It's probably my second favorite thing to run, but they take a good bit of experience as well to get good with. Have fun!

I hope you're gearing up for your scale weed farm. I read you can have 4 plants. So 3 bonsai and one mega pear tree for your own haul. Thoes mico-buds are potent! You could pull some serious micro-pounds of Hash! You could do a raft style of bonsai cannabis plant. So three long rows of 8 to 12 scale plants looking like they are all individually planted but they are just buried branches of plant laid on its side. RU-vid EMERALD!

I thought I've seen 16 scale RC graders on European channels, am I wrong? They seem all metal construction too. BTW, Medic, It's great to see you back, especially the heavy equipment posts. Keep 'em coming!

That thing is so freakin cool! I watching those videos on RC conventions with everything like heavy equipment, farming, tractor trailers, all that stuff. I can't believe how much dirt it picked up. Man, that thing is cool! Thanks for sharing. Sometimes I wish I could have just a little bit of everything. I can't remember the channel, but this guy made a Bat Wing that you can download and 3D print. It Flys awesome. You should check it out.

I am envious of your scraper! I would LOVE to have one of my own to fiddle with around the house. Some operation tips (Though I'm not sure how well they will transfer to scale RC): -Keep your apron just above the dirt you are cutting when loading, this keeps the dirt moving into the can and prevents the "dirt doze" buildup. With a slight downhill cut you should be able to easily fill the can completely to overflowing with reasonable material -You can cut a little more as your can gets more full -Keeping the belly of the can in contact with the dirt you are ejecting will make a nice smooth path, don't lift the can all the way unless you have rocky or bulky material (you already were doing this beautifully, just thought it was worth mentioning. -With the ejector all the way forward and apron all the way up, you essentially have a mid dozer blade to move rocks or smooth up material that didn't dump as nice as you would like. Thanks for sharing!

I would absolutely love a excavator that would be super cool. Where you could dig holes and refill it just can’t afford something like that but that would be my dream. Heavy equipment for sure. so nomenclature is bowl,ejector,and gate. I run a case/international quadtrac pulling a pull type scraper. They are awesome! Rarely need dozer assistance. Look them up and i do think you will be intrigued and want one! Yes quadtrac is spelled without the "k".

Awesome to see and hear you brutha and it really is an art form if you watch some of the insane places they actually drive these things..., like dropoffs, over edges and down vertigo inducing slopes that are more vertical than anything else to make roads or setting the foundations for massively planned projects, sweet to see you back, have always loved your content from Gisborne, New Zealand❤

Great video Medic! Mice can make an awful mess of things. My brother in law was using his month old welder yesterday and it caught fire because of a mouse nest. You done a great job with the scraper. People always assume it's easy because it's an rc but it's just as hard if not harder to operate than the real thing. Cheers

Not sure about other parts of the world, but in Australia we call the pusher that you pointed out the ejector, and what you were calling the belly we call the bowl. Love your videos man 👌🏼

So what happened to the river dredge, or the lumber mill? Just wondering, I know you have other channels going on.

There us a big boy market for a place were you could go and rent a dozer ,escavator or backhoe and let them just dig . Someone needs to make it happen . It would be like a heavy equipment amusement park.

We use these even on a dairy to spread manure and it is my go to price of machinery to use for all sorts of task you can make you own creations of earth with them and once you get good with the belly you won’t need a dozer on hand love the videos

As you fill the belly use the open and close flap back and forth it helps roll the dirt to the top and makes it easier to dig with out losing traction

How does it work on loose soil, rather than hard packed? I'm thinking it depends on the rate of loose, wheels sinking in vs scraping of the top.
