The glass on the car window is much tougher than ice. Ice scrapers are made of very hard plastic and have a sharp edge which can be used to score the ice, but they do not scratch the glass. Plus, the ice is soft with the temperature close to zero, and the car has been running for ten minutes with heat on inside. The Sweepa broom head is a squeegee-like head with bristles, made of 100% rubber (the handle is some kind of lightweight metal). Banging the broom on the car can make small dents, but they are really not noticeable unless you look carefully, plus it's a ten year old car that gets beat up by tough winter weather every year.

We used to eat snow, when I was a lot younger. We'd go outside, scoop up some snow in a pan, bring it inside, and add Vanilla Flavoring to it, and maybe a little sugar, mix it up really good, and eat it. Loved it!

It's no fun. My door locks freeze sometimes, I squirt in some WD-40 or sometimes heat it with a hair drier. By the way, I had to take this car off the road due to rust in the exhaust system and underneath, which is pretty common around here. Good luck!

Well this was posted on an ASMR website. ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is basically where people get an intense tingly feeling of calmness, euphoria, pleasure etc. upon hearing certain sounds. Your video has a lot of the scratching sound that people who experience ASMR react to. OR it could be that people just like to see things get cleaned.

No, it's true. Well I do care about the car, but banging on it with a rubber broom is not as bad as all the other bad things that the weather does to cars around here. On this older car, the salt on the roads and the moisture winter and summer damaged the exhaust and the brake lines. In my jurisdiction vehicles must be inspected every two years and certified that exhaust emissions are below a certain level. Because the car was leaking fluids here and there, some oil here and there for example, a bit of transmission fluid, the garages that do the inspections will not accept the vehicle for testing until it has no leaks underneath. So since I also needed some exhaust repairs, typical on a car over 10 years old, the amount of money to fix all the small leaks, plus fabricate some new brake lines, plus do the exhaust repairs, was too much money when all added up, to make the car pass inspection. Not worth it on an older car. Any one of those things I could have fixed, but... So this car was scrapped about a year after this video. The car was safe, good tires, good brakes, undercarriage ok, however due to this provincial government program, I had to start taking the bus. This is called "living in Ontario." Sorry for the rant.

+Joshua Herbert - The broom is made of soft rubber and doesn't scratch anything. Pounding on the roof, yes, it made some tiny dents which are barely noticeable.

+Z0ne5ive Plus car windows are pretty strong. A very easy way to break them is using shrapnel from a spark plug, etc. Hammers may seem like it could break it in one swing but it depends on the strength and type of window/length & width.
