I part out mowers as well. People would buy the wheels, motor WITH the harness and rearend. Seat as long as there is no cracks and sometimes the deck depending on condition.
Murry is about the only seat that I have seen that does not crack, I told the guys at john deer to find out what kind of material that Murry uses and use it on their mowers, but then they couldn't sell replacement seats
yes. it is, in the shade with a breeze I can work a little longer but in the sun I have to keep it short, and I have fan's in the shop and the area that I work the most has a tree over it and the doors are at the north and south ends. with most of the wind coming from the south in the summer. and I keep lots of bottled water in a mini fridge by the shop
Impressive Tires. I honestly cannot remember buying anything new that did not require tire repairs before use, at least since we did away with "Made in USA".
Bunch of problems at the seaports many cargo ships are not taking grain shipments back to Asia so this also may affect scrap metal going back as well. The truckers have the ports shut down on the west coast. Rumor has it we are going into a recession.
they say that you can tell when we go into a recession by the copper prices, we will just have to ride it out the best that we can, have to take a good look at what is a need and what is a want. and remember this too shall pass
nice video, i really envy your set up, did you say you had 10 acres? looks like plenty of fruit trees for shade. i've picked up a couple nice big patio umbrellas, really easy to move around, and work underneath them, nice breeze going thru... my father had a bunch of fruit trees in missouri, something came thru and killed most of them, i forget what. but you have all the necessary tools, love your rickshaw cherry picker. did you have any problems with those rusty old bolts? i always let the oil drain and squirt the rusty bolts for a day. stay cool, make sure you keep a nice iced drink close by, i make ice coffee, does the trick, ice water too.
I have 5 acres here, the fruit trees I planted about 20 years ago, Walmart trees. I bought a 3/8 drive impact this year and it removes most bolts. I should have drained this oil before I got started,
a lot of the mowers that I get are best scrapped, but I do get some that may be an easy fix. I need to fix up 1 or 2 and see if I can sell them before the end of mowing season
bad prices in your area. that's not good. anything under $100 a ton and I will just stockpile my shred. I have a few acres to store it on. Hope prices get better for you up that way
