Bravo. You are a genius. I always wished I had learned to knit and crochet from body measurements before I learned how to read patterns. I have become so dependent on patterns. I actually get annoyed when a designer makes a mistake in a pattern. Sometimes, I figure it out on my own. Even when they try to help me through email, it is difficult to understand what they are talking about. Understanding the construction of a garment helps a lot. thank you for posting this wonderful tutorial. Now I will share it with my granddaughter who is in college.
This was extremely helpful and well explained! I always saw this type of sweater on tiktok and ig and thought i was smart enough to replicate it without any tutorial (that didn't go well lmao). This video resolved all my dilemas, beautiful work!!
I was really struggling with another raglan tutorial and had to frog so many times and then i found this video and im almost half way on the body im so happy thank you so much for this perfect tutorial!!!! 💗💐✨🙏
Good evening, I watched your tutorial several times what type of yarn were you using to make the sweater because my crochet 🧶 neck stitched came out wrong. Mine looks stupid, the Bronx New York
Just a quick thank you for this tutorial! I was looking for a video on this style of sweater and liked yours the best. I just finished mine (in 2 days!) and love how it turned out. I decided to leave all the yarn tails exposed rather than weaving in... it's definitely a look, and saves so much time!
You explained really well! I am planning on making one today ! UPDATE: i already got 1 sleeve! Now i am going to make the one and then the body! UPDATE: IM DONEE AND I RLLY LOVE IT TYYYSM FOR THIS TUT IT WAS SO EASY TO MAKE 2
I was looking at all kinds of sweaters trying to find the perfect one to make to go with my boho dresses and skirts. Nothing was jumping out at me until I found this one. Oh my goodness I am so excited! I am all about using up everything I have, reusing, recycling, upcycling, and so on. Thank you so much! I love this sweater! You did a great job on this tutorial!
Thanks for the tutorial, it's really easy to follow! I've already made two-- one for my gf and one for me! My sisters' asked for one too, so I'm going to do the third one soon lol
I’m so glad you shared this video. I am a beginner and when I first started, I went out and eagerly bought a tonne of yarns (I’m an idiot so I got 1-2 balls of each colour 😫) and now that I understand crochet a little better, I realise that I am limited with what I can make now with the different patterns/yarn weights/chunkiness because all my yarns are different. I’m going to give this a try to hopefully use up and make use of the many yarns I stupidly bought lol
Thank you so so so so much! I was looking for this kind of pattern for so long, it’s so cute, definitely going to make one. Keep going you did a good job ❤️
Love this!!! I've been thinking about starting an etsy shop myself and I've been getting idea and pattern/pattern ideas from creators and I love this! You are part of the reason I have gotten into and love crocheting 🙏🏽💞
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I’ve been crocheting for a couple years already, but I always shied away from making clothing, but your tutorials make it so easy to understand :)
This video popped up in my recommended but I've been binge watching your newer content and video essays, i love your channels! I didn't recognize you until I heard your voice! Awws 🧡
I’ve been watching your newer videos on both your channels and this video popped up on my recommended videos. I didn’t even recognize you until I heard your voice. ❤😂
Im working on my second one right now, the first one i did i did without the sleeves and the one im working on right now i just have to add the sleeves. What i like about this pattern is that it also works good as a crop top
yes! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! I've made so many different variations of it, I love how versatile the design is and how easy it is to experiment once you get the basics down! I love empowering people to tap into their own creativity :)
Ok, that’s EXACTLY what I thought when I started mine. I just decided to go for it and MAN, AM I GLAD I DID!! It turned out sooooo cute and I’m planning on making another one :)
i follow all the accounts u got inspiration from and i’ve been wanting to make a scrappy sweater for so long but didn’t know where to start so thanks for the vid!!
Oh my gosh, I found you through Emma in the Moment, and I wanted to see what else you did, but I was so used to you with the really short hair, I was SHOOKEN, but you look really pretty, long amd short hair!
Did this with a size 5 fuzzy yarn from Michael’s and it was amazing! Took me forever ( about 20 hours) but that’s just fine!I also reccomend having more yarn. I did do it cropped but I still used way more maybe a hook size thing ( I used a size 7 )
This is such a helpful tutorial! My only question is, if you chain 2 to inc quicker on the first round of increases, do you dc 1, ch 1, dc 1 twice in the second round of increases?
me: sees this tutorial, excited to start but i decide to watch it first creator of vid: “so this part is going to require a little bit of math” me: “and that’s where im out” (this tutorial was amazing but i don’t get the math part🤠)
noo don't give up you can totally do it!!! It's just to figure out where to put the increases! sometimes I just eye ball it too so you can always skip the math part 🙃
hey there! relatively new to crochet & was wondering how i could increase the size of this sweater. i've upped the increase chain from 1 to 2 and have done more rows that you did in the video but somehow it hasn't gotten wide enough and still feels tight around my shoulder. any advice is greatly welcomed as i have restarted this project two times now :')
you can customize the length to whatever best fits! If you have a light weight you may want to do more rows, versus a heavier weight yarn you might need to do less rows.
I’m a bit confused- when I make the chains one of them is at the top of the Double crochet and the next is at the bottom, making it so that when I try and do the next row the chain isn’t even with the row.
I’m sizing up your pattern quite a few sizes and I was wondering how I can determine the amount of single crochets to use to connect the arm increases together?
the best way I've found is to just chain an amount and then try it on and add more or less chains depending on how it fits! I've had people make this in a lot of sizes so it's definitely just about adjusting it to fit your body best :)
hi !will it also work if i do some rows in double crochet and some others in triple crochet? and why is my neckline getting in the shape of a rectangle and not of a circle as yours? thank youu
can anyone explain the first row with the chains for the sleeves? they dont come out in even rows when you slip stitch after the chain. why isnt it just straught into DC so the rows stay even??
my math is not adding up on this. how do you get the markers to all be the same amount from each other??? I end up with like four extra stitches I feel so dumb
dont know if you need help still but you should make sure to go into the stitches around the hole where the increases go and not the chain you make to fit the increases.. i tend to make my raglans 20 percent on the sides and 30 in the middle so i think having an even number for how you want to divide your increases into is important.. odd numbers can make it difficult to calculate where to put them.
Hi! Im totally blind about yarn. Can you recommend light yarn for this? Ive made one with cotton dk but when i wore it for a day, the sleeve stretched and doesnt return to original form. Please help. Thank you!!💕
I've really enjoyed Hobbii's Rainbow Cotton, you might like it too! You can always try "blocking" the piece to get it back to its original shape. There are tons of tutorials on youtube and Tiktok to help you with that !
plz help I’ve tried 3 separate times- the neckline is big enough but it doesn’t fit on my shoulders, even though I’m increasing correctly. I’m using a thinner wool yarn but I cannot get it to fit right
I have an odd number of stitches, do it matter if when I mark them, the front has one stitch more than the back if the sleeves are the same number of stitches?
Just one stitch difference should be fine and not noticeable :) If it bothers you not to have an even number you can either decrease or increase one where you are.
It was just a purchase from someone getting rid of their old yarn! I got a big bag for $25. If you search for yarn in your area you might be able to find something similar!! You can also search wider and have people ship to you.
And if you’re looking for a specific yarn (like color or material) I suggest looking on eBay! I could do a video on how I buy yarn on fb marketplace/eBay at some point!
I got past this point but I’m making a full sweater 29:46 would you continue adding 2 and then the row for this? I think I messed up and had to frog it to this point I think I skipped my new row not chaining 2 for the row
Thank you so so so so much! I was looking for this kind of pattern for so long, it’s so cute, definitely going to make one. Keep going you did a good job ❤️
