It's never too early for Xmas. I used to start at begining of June x was usualy finished by end of November. But now im older I find it's harder to have it all done now I have all the grandkids x great grandkids x kids x all their partners etc plus freinds and I try to make as many as I can cos I giv 3 gifts to each family member x try to do 1 of those handmade but I do all sorts of crafting so I do allsorts of things. But it keeps me busy x I love that so it's all good x there's usualy a heap of diferent types of journals some with embroidered toppers x this yr I have 8 journals x I only just started but I don't have much else to fill my time with so I just craft away all day every day x I look forward to watching your vidios wich I love to bits x you giv us so many great ideas so I watch you as I craft. Don't usualy follow along right then but do take notes for my ideas books x use those then from that x I have one hugely fat ideas book that's just all YOUR IDEAS x that's nearly full so will need to start another Gayles Ideas Book very soon, probably this wk. I do feel as though you have become a really good freind x I always enjoy watching you while crafting x enjoying a nice cup of tea!.. I've been sorting supplies this weekend too so it's easier to find stuff when I get really busy. So thanku once again for keeping me company x inspiring me every vidio usualy gives me something new to try x you never fail us. Lov x hugs from Australia...

Use the large scape of pants fabric as the pocket on the inside of one of your next Christmas covers. Looks like the perfect length. Fun fabrics you have collected. Bravo!! ❤

Funny story:I worked in a quilt shop so was able to check out new arrivals and buy first. This on fabric came in that was perfect for my blackberry beaded wallhanging so I made a note to purchase. A week or so later I noticed some of it had been sold...and again a week later. After each thought I had gotten really busy. The next month we had to move and as I was packing my craft room, I found several bags containing fabric that had fallen behind different places. When I looked😂 in, I discovered that each time I had thought about that perfect fabric I had actually purchased it!! I ended up with 6 yards of it.... So I made valances for my sunroom with the left over!!

Gayle, it's crazy you even need a disclaimer but I totally get it. You are NOT Walmart with thousands of made in China products premade sitting on your shelf. Those handmade items take a LOT of time to create. All those naysayers should try making a half dozen (or more) Christmas journals between now and Thanksgiving. I got such a giggle recently while shopping at Walmart. A lady had her cart filled with a couple of GIANT skeletons AND Christmas decorations. 😮😂

You should get some sewing clips to hold the flips together until you sew them. I think them would help you a lot. Much easier to deal with than pins.

When I was at Walmart with my cousin a couple of weeks ago, she was looking for fabric to make some kind of sunflowers on canning jar lids. I don’t know, but they were cute. I found some Christmas fabric I liked and I bought it and I put it away when I got home, now you’re making me feel like I want to dig it out and make a cover. I barely got Halloween put away and my room cleaned up. Now I’m going to mess it up again and it’s gonna be all your fault.😂
