Andre is freaking hilarious. I love seeing all of the other writers faces when Oinko actually shows up in costume and starts walking down the stairs. They all knew this idea was stupid, but when they actually saw the costume and the hammer, they all died in the best possible way. As much as I already love Conan's show, these "Scraps" videos are almost just as good as the stuff that actually makes it onto the show!
They said just cut to Andre for the sketch, he has lost it, him and Matt just crack up every time they know they have done something dumb. And Conan sees they know they messed up when their face is in their hands. Went a little different with the "dogs see different than humans" compared to the Seagull
I still can't decide if Conan meant that as stage direction for the sketch or if he was so disgusted with the bit that he wanted the Oinko actor to stay the hell away from him.
Reminds of old Letterman in the late 80s. It had that underground feel to it, where the flatter the joke was the more you felt you were in on something nobody else got.
Oh my gosh. Watching the staff laugh at this makes it a thousand times better. Except the woman at the top. She never breaks character. If this had aired she would deserve an Emmy.
This is one of the best bits ever!!! Oinko the Boinko going down the stairs made me fell off my chair laughing........whoever came up with the name Oinko the Boinko deserves a raise...that alone is pure genius.
This one is actually legitimately funny, though. I think sometimes Conan skits drag on for too long, but this was the perfect amount and the reveal of the pig was good! (particularly how he kept hitting the same guy).
They could totally mine this as a Mandela effect. "Hey, remember Oinko the Boinko? He was one of those classic Conan characters, like Payroll Pam and Steve the Talking Retired Geriatric Research Mouse"

The problem is that having done it already ruins the premise. How can they gaslight Conan about a character that never existed, if he actually existed?
noticed too. He likes to play obviously, but one time he said how frustrating it is to be careful not to play anything familiar that needs licensing cos then it needs to be paid and so everything he plays on sketches or what are all made up lol

So much worse. I remember when he did the world's largest crown bit two nights in a row and just stacked the image on the audience on top of each other. At least this makes me laugh and is dumb on purpose.

I thought this was some sort of brilliant , self-loathing, self-aware, meta humor, about the nature of Conan's humor on his show. Of course goofball lyrics and just a pig costume is funny too.
