Thank you, you have done a greate job Or you can glue the sand paper to the bench and move your part back and forth on it,like i do for sanding leading edges.

lol great video however why would you need to go to an antique store or even an auction just to get a spoke shave? theres numerous places in addition to online where you can get any kind of spoke shave youd like.

im all for tools to help you ensure a straight, true boat (specifically hydroplane like in the video), but personally, unless your a complete novice, I dont believe the jig is as critical and absolutely required as he emphasized. I have been seeing more and more people (including a gentleman with his own website for wooden boat kits hes designed himself) that never use jigs and still build perfectly straight hulls. As long as you indeed have a good bench/work area thats flat and level, your patient and aware of the critical areas of the hull that need to be straight and you take consideration towards that, youll be fine.
