its a weird question but imma ask it cause there is a small chance it could happen. we live in the same city and my highscool put on a production of dracula that became kinda popular this year and there might be a chance that you seen it. idk im taking a complete shot in the dark here but im wondering if you maybe got the chance to see it? you look like you like the bram stoker story

Doing little projects for yourself is always a good idea. It helps respark joy. I get caught up in painting minis and terrain for games and sometimes forget the whole reason I got into painting was for fun and relaxation. The other day I decided to stop painting for games for a while and I wanted to make a cyber punk mini diorama as I only ever paint pirates or fantasy. I searched RU-vid for cyberpunk inspiration and realised I missed a video of yours and it so happened to be cyberpunk! Love it.

"It's good enough for me, and that's all that counts" Best thing I've heard you say! More people need to understand that. Whatever you do as a hobby the important thing is to be happy and have fun. Trying to impress others will cause you to not enjoy yourself as much. Unless you are doing something for someone else then nobody's opinion matters. Yes, it's great to hear someone say good job but what matters most is if you are happy. No matter how easy anyone can make something look, not everyone can do it. Most "rivet counters" I've ever encountered don't do much. They seem to enjoy telling others what they done wrong than actually doing something themselves. That's one of the things I like about your channel here. You have no problems pointing out your screwups and what you do to either correct it or make it work somehow. Sidenote... Sorry for the long post. With the "quarantine" going on there's not much to do.

I think you struck the right balance between a fun project that is also effective. I had fun watching you have fun. Subject matter is not that important ... I just enjoy seeing how other artists do their work, start to finish. You can never tell when a project YOU'RE working on can furnish a usable technique for someone else on something entirely different. I think your addition of ye green was a great idea, giving the stonework a creepy, nastily "moist", dank, & mossy/mouldy look ... It's much more striking than pristine stonework would have been. It's details and thinking like that which I admire. Nice job!

Love revisiting your older content. It’s neat to see how you’ve grown in different areas and adapted different methods as you try things over time. Your curiosity and willingness to experiment have always been a great motivation as I tend to freeze up with analysis paralysis trying to determine the ‘right’ way forward on a project. It’s always great to remember there are multiple ways of going about things. :) Your dioramas are often my favourite projects, and having a smaller scope/size on this one really is a great way to enjoy a shorter project that can wonderfully frame/highlight even a single figure - giving them story and context. I will try to do something like this over the holidays to shift myself from thinking about the hobby to the actual doing of it. 😅 Happy holidays folks! 💜

I have also found that Vallejos Air Colour range is very easily removable when you paint over it unless you really give it time to dry completely (it takes longer than you think!). I don't know how long it was between painting and washing for you, but I've found that letting it dry for at least an hour or so is usually enough (which is why all Vallejo artists are big fans of their hairdryers I suppose!). Really love the diorama though! I've had it in my mind to make something similar for a very long time! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
