I actually thought it was a reference to the SEGA game Eggman's Mean Bean Machine for the Genesis.

They did the same thing with Kirby and Yoshi, even in Sonic Mania there's a Puyo Puyo Battle with Robotnik before finishing Chemical Plant.

fnf being just beeps and boops makes it easier for fans to make songs and to apply their own headcanons, which is good since FNF's ever dwindling fanbase has been Soley reliant on fan content for the past few years now, melodii sounds better ofc by virtue of being actual songs with lyrics but i doubt any fanmade songs aside from like RECD making his own fan song would be all that good compared to the base game but even that would be difficult

@@averagefan8199 The game uses Vocaloid Voice banks for the voices of their characters! Vocaloid is a voice synth (like Hatusne Miku) where you can make a robot sing. Much better than AI voice, because you actually have to put efforts into the tuning
