Scratching Dandruff Off Scalp Big Flakes  

If this was my scalp. I would be digging in it everyday

I wanna say this is made up dandruff it comes off too easy and his scalp isn’t damaged red upset or anything

Unfortunately my son has this condition too…we thought it was his lack of hygiene at first..he also used to cry during haircuts..then I did some research to find the facts..I’ve tried using see breeze but it burned because we then discovered that his scalp has mild bleeding when flakes are removed..then psoriasis specific shampoo (head and shoulders is drying). Now 2 x’s a week we wash and use a hair mask with tea tree oil it seems to be working thus far.. I feel for those that are suffering with this condition…

I think it's very nice of people to suggest home remedies or different brands, but honestly, psoriasis, eczema, dandruff, and other conditions are all treated differently. A painless visit to the Doctor to identify the condition will save the patient a lot of money and time in trying expensive shampoos. Dandruff shampoo does nothing for my scalp. My dermatologist said that some conditions are actually skin cells that are replacing themselves too fast and cause the build-up. These images concern me because as the scalp is combed having such thick flakes should leave the new skin pink and raw and may even bleed. We have no idea what the condition is because the symptoms overlap. My symptoms worsen when I am under a lot of stress. It's very difficult to manage and I use several treatments. Changing them around seems to help so my scalp does not build up an immunity to one treatment. Right now I'm using avocado oil and sea salt for 15 minutes and then wash out. I also use a shampoo called Zincon (Amazon has it) that helps for a good while and then becomes ineffective. I come back to it later. Tar and salicylates do nothing for me other that make my hair smell awful. Keep that in mind that rotating shampoo may be helpful. I also rinse my hair with vinegar or apple cider vinegar and it also works great for a short while. Don't look for anything that will work all the time if you are diagnosed with an auto-immune condition.

(lo que vemos no es caspa) ... para tener un cuadro así, no hay que lavarse el cabello por unos 7 dìas o más... imposible llegar a esa condición tratando el cuero cabelludo día por medio o cada 2 días. La hiperactividad de algunas células del cuero cabelludo generan esa acumulación de piel. Como leí en comentario, a mí me funcionaba cortar el cabello bien corto... minimizaba la aparición de placas y el lavado era más rápido y sencillo. El dermatólogo es el profesional para ver qué sucede e indicar qué producto usar. Espero que la persona del video mejore pronto porque no imagino cómo llegó a soportar la situación sin lavarse el cabello inmediatamente!!

This is beautiful hair, do not understand how the scalp could get like that. I remember when I was nursing my youngest he developed what they call cradle scalp which was some what like that at the hair line top front for awhile, and would be kept at bay with a baby brush and small comb. Thankfully it went away when he was weaned. So I think it was a diet issues?

My scalp got like this once during a pregnancy and my baby was born with eczema, allergies, and asthma.

I wonder if this would go away if he totally shaved his head

I have mild dandruff, it completely goes away when I cut my hair very short. Warmth of hair seems to make it worse. Don't know if anyone else finds this.
