Funny thing Dead Meat pointed out that Sidney never actually met Roman before the reveal so this had a prime opportunity for a "who the hell are you?" moment and whiffed. On the plus side it's still pretty funny when she interrupts his rant to tell him to stop whining.

It is probably a lukewarm take but I think 3 is better than 2. Both have very weak killers, and the magic voice changer is dumb, but I also didn't forget Roman existed until the reveal.

I can't wait for you to tackle what I consider to be the worst of the movies in the series. And I'm also sort of wanting a person to be somebody who is trying to make the completely made up Stab movies now become real life. Plus, what does it say about Hollywood that the producer of the Stab movies was partially responsible for the events that lead to the real life murders and the director of one of the movies was also a murderer and they just kept making more movies after that. Could you imagine if something like Project Runway was kept going after . . . oh . . . wait. Never mind that last point.

Stab 3 was meant to be a prequel, telling the story of Maureen's murder while having a fictional present day story

The reveal is pretty funny out of context. Who the hell is this guy?

People often confuse how much influence Roman had on Billy and Stu. Roman flatout says that he had no idea Billy and Stu were going to go on a killing spree. So Roman wasn't involved with the Ghostface killings in the first film. All he did was provide Billy with the motivation to kill Maureen and offer some tips. Billy and Stu completely planned and executed the murders a year later on their own. It also wouldn't make sense for Roman to return to Woodsboro a year later and dress as Ghostface to stalk Sidney. Nobody (except Billy) knew Roman or what he looked like. He would look less suspicious just walking around as a normal person. Besides, it wasn't until AFTER Sidney became famous for being a survivor that Roman really wanted to go after her.

It was a planned trilogy, but Roman wasn't part of the original plan. He came during the period after Kevin Williamson had to depart for his TV show. Ehren Kruger and his partner came up with Roman. Richard Potter, an executive producer on the original three, confirmed Roman was not planned and that the random Woodsboro Ghosty was a prankster(s) like the bathroom attacker.
