@@dynatwenty i think hes just doing it really nasaly what i mean he places the sound where the "boxing bag" is and also tries to send it through his nose but he blocks it idk how to exolain it but i get similar highs with this
@@szprucel nah, watch some sit down interviews with him, and the throat scope. He's far from nasal sounding. His biggest vocal idol is Randy Blythe also.
a little late but i think he does tunnel throat fry for the highs, at least that’s what i’ve heard other people say. his lows are just false chords with specific tongue placements, rolled up or down depending on the sound
But could you do a song like sleepwalking or can you feel my heart with this technique? It’s not tonal screaming and I just cannot get that down whatsoever
I’d Love To Hear His Vocals From “Doomed”And “Seen It All Before”. Those Tracks Are So Damn Beautiful!!! “Sempiternal” And “That’s The Spirit” Two Incredible Albums!!!
Love this, thanks. This is how I've always approached this type of scream however even when I know it's placed properly I still seem to struggle with vocal fatigue. Feels like it might be moving too much air but I have good support so I'm not sure where it's going wrong.
I stubbled on this kind of style of screaming a few months ago. I combined the voice crack and false chord screams. Sounds like a panicky shout with a very open throat. Then took that and applied some tunnel throat stuff. Sounds like a goblin. 😂 Love these shorts. Great content 👍
Do Wayne Static tutorial please, both low (Behemoth, Destroyer) and high (pretty much any other song) he had a pretty damn unique kind of screams, always with easily identified pitch
How do you do his Deathcore vocals? I really like Count your blessings. (EDIT) I tried doing the Mitch Lucker tutorial you did but neither sounds like Mitch or Oli. It seems the only way to sound close to Oli is doing Kvlt scream aka Black Metal scream. But if anyone can show me how to sound like Oli and/or Mitch, that'd be great.
The one i just can’t figure out is the edge he puts on his melodic notes. It sounds like fry too put i just can’t get that effect steady. He just leans in and out of it with seemingly so much ease where for me its an exercise in extreme precision to get a sound even close to it, while the screams in this video are effortless to me now.
I was wondering: if you (or I learn to scream like Oli Sykes) in which you scream at the point of your voice break, how do you maintain breath control?
We have lots of videos on the fry scream here and even more in our EVI Now program! Once you have the fry scream down it’s just a matter of shaping, presentation and attitude
This series isn’t about what the artist necessarily does themselves (although sometimes it is a match) but a healthy and sustainable way that most people can recreate the tone/feel 😁
