Having watched your Videos, I have now successfully used my S.E. Tuner (which has been lying in a drawer since I bought the Bike from new. to retune my 2016 Street Bob. The results are amazing, no more Decel Pop, and yes my bike will now run at 30mph in 3rd gear. Before, it was not comfortable and would hesitate slightly trying to do so. Great result thanks a lot for all your help.
So my question is will this tune work on different bikes and motors sizes? Like if I use this map in my street Bob with 103 would I get the same results?
@@dougsinatra5718 I had to manually intervene and change Fuel Ratios from those on Screamin Eagle Software. You have to get the Software online and buy the two Cables required (£35.0) to connect to ECU. Software comes with settings for most Harley Bikes, but settings are still on the lean side. enriching the fuel transformed my Bike, did two friends Bikes also. Also for some reason the Software switches off the ACR (Automatic Compression Release) Software allows you to switch it on which in turn transforms the Cranking Speed when starting. My friend and I both baught Street Bobs from new and were Stage 1 with SE Tuner, both had ACR switch off by the Software. Hope this helps.
@@dougsinatra5718 every bike really needs its own specific map build, but will all start off at the base map anyway. The mods to map will yeald similar results but need to be specific with bikes state of tune/ air filter and exhaust etc.. So regardless, use base map for particular bike first and always start off low when changing any figures in the columns 👍
@@ALCHEMOTO so I used the one you used and the program wouldn’t let me go as low on some of the numbers but the bike is smoother and the decel popping is gone.

Yeah, think they are all black box, but, to be honest, vance&hines fp3 is the way forward, as can do it all on phone, not the building of maps, but easy on the fly. 👍
@@ALCHEMOTO quick question I ended up doing what you showed and sent the tune over. Then it told me to shut it off for 10 seconds so I did that. Turned it back on and now it won't connect to the laptop anymore. Error comes up the last usb device you connected malfunctioned Very wierd. And I tested the ports on the laptop so it's not that. Ever encountered this?
@@hernandogarcia8920 . If map uploaded to green tick then it is on bike, I have haf occasional errors, but just unplug .restart software on laptop and reconnect and try again . You just need to check if current map is loaded.
@@ALCHEMOTO all good mate It was a driver issue. Exactly like you said. Yeah map was uploaded and all good. Just need to find tune it to my preference. Ended up being to much fuel in they mixture so need to find the sweet spot. But definately improvement.
On the AF screen, the stoic is set to gasoline. Here in the colonies we have to use 10% ethanol. Do you find that switching to ethanol makes any difference?
The only difference I have found is the mpg suffers slightly with e10 fuel in u.k.. we still have a 5% option but not found any performance issues although a few have increased mixture to compensate in values. So unless you suffer performance or running issues, I wouldnt change values for the 10% ethanol mixture 👍
Doesnt matter what laptop, its not a power hungry app, just a win 10 laptop and software downloaded. Although will now need to be 3rd party download as not available direct from h.d now 😬. If you have the tuner, no prob. If not then I would now reccomend V&H fp3 tuner. Thanks
How hard would it be to tune my 13 flhx for the following mods with the super pro tuner. Heavy breather, dresser duals with cfr slipons, .574 rocket cams
Should be as easy as any other. You should have the options for stage 2 with cams on there, but definately would need to load up data with tuner plugged in on a road ride to finalise map which is in the step by step instructions once you load up software in tuning mode .
Once you load up the s.e. specific map, do the road tune and reload data. Save that map, then from then on you can play around with air/ fuel mapping and revert to standard stage 2 map if needed
@@ALCHEMOTO is the super pro tuner software still available for download? Some say yes some say no. I didn't get the cables or disc with mine after the dealer dynod it back in 2014
@@davidroberts8410 there are still a few forums/links with the software to download although not direct from H.D. I will hopefully put a link on my website when get chance but you will find one online. Cables are still available to buy , dont need c.d. just make sure you order either 4pin or 6 pin cable to suit your bike 👍

i tried to connect to my orange supertuner to screaming eagle site but it wont take serial number? its grayed out, i called HD and they said its no longer supported?... how do i know what or if it was tuned to this tuner? i bought it 1yr ago and it came with that tuner.
If it connects to bike via the software thats all you need. There is no further updates on H.D site but software holds enough info for you to tune your bike as it is. Do you have the software/ program for laptop?
@@ALCHEMOTO ok I found the software and downloaded it onto my laptop. i set the VCI tuner to record mode, went for a ride and plugged it into my laptop now what? I renamed the file i selected however when i select "program motorcycle" option it shows a big red X saying the calibration selected is not compatible with current motorcycle connected? its the same file i named? what am i doing wrong? I did see another cal file that was named "BIGVTWIN" and it will load that one however i didnt go thru with it because im not sure what this cal file will change?
Are you loading map for same model year and bike. You need to find your bike specific map. Try loading the base map stage 1 1st without doing recording mode. If map is not relevant to bike it will flag up in red
Great blog mate. Got my first harley 2 week ago. Sportster 48 with vance n hines short shots, screaming Eagle filter and tune stage 1. I have noticed when riding at low speed through traffic or round my home town it does feel like I need to change down or lumpy. Be great if could meet, maybe get your thoughts. Cheers, Pete. @@redponte1 Im over in Tameside/nr stalybridge, so bout an hour away. A lot of folk have the stage 1 and no tuner, as was done at dealer although every h.d tuner is specific to chassis number so cannot be used on another bike. Your way round this is to purchase the vance& hines fp3 tuner and there is a setting for decel enleanment/maps for your pipes on there, and can be done with the box linked to your smartphone. A lot easier than writing a specific map on laptop as the work is done for you. 👍. Thanks for subscribing as well. Appreciate that mate 👍.
