God, it's weird to look back at these. How much time has passed? Mark Paul Gosselaar and Lark Voorhies were a couple in real-life. Boyfriend and girlfriend up until the series end. Here, they made good use of their real-life relationship. This was the first time that the Screech ever really seemed three-dimensional. I agree 💯 percent even though he NEVER had a chance with Lisa he deserves to attack Lisa Zach And Slater bcuz they all verbally abused him especially Lisa. T 💩 rdle as a Arrogant Materialistic narcissist. All she had to do was kindly turn down his advances but she DELIBERATELY added her insults to injury which made him feel less of a man developing bad esteem and lonely he didn't deserve to be in that klique. Except for Kelly and Belding who regardlessly accepted him Lisa's personality made her ugly and Zack was arrogant and used Screech as a tool he should've cut them off a long time ago anyway my dream girl in high school betrayed me too and destroyed my manhood for a while so I feel for Screech Good luck!!!

Trust me and like me when you are older you laugh it off when you think all that energy for a girl when there were a million and one more. Imo Kelly and Jessie and Belding and Tori and Violet liked and respected Screech. Slater as well. With him and Screech it was good natured ribbing but he liked and respected him as well even though slater found Screech annoying.
@othtvdfan99 That's true, Screech may have been goofy, but he was a true friend, people could always count on him when they needed him. Lisa was downright mean to him sometimes.
Sometimes? How about ALL the time. Yes screech did ask her out a lot and she kept saying no but she insulted him and was downright cruel and mean towards him. Yes screech may have been goofy and clumsy and annoying and nerdy but he was honest and very smart and loyal to his friends even though some of them didn't deserve it ( Mainly zach and lisa)

Lol just a little tidbit. Doesn't truly matter, but Dustin hated that he couldn't escape being Screech. Everybody saying "R.I.P. Screech" "You will always be Screech" is kinda the equivalent to "I hope your soul never rests" just saying.
The one time Screech showed any guts towards Zack. Usually he's the guy that's taking crap from him in every possible form just to either bail him out of a jam or to make a scheme work. And Zack punks him out like this and HE'S the bad guy?! He DELIBERATELY goes after the girl his best friend has been in love with all through grade school AND high school and Screech is supposed to be "D'uh, okay, Zack, no problem."? HELL NO! Zack got off TOO EASY this time. This should've been a two-parter. At his worst Zack Morris truly is trash.
I think Zack did because he has NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder). Also check out Funny or Die's RU-vid show "Zack Morris is Trash" and it'll put everything is perspective. You will definitely notice a pattern.
Screech was obsessed with a black chick, had a nappy fro, had his own unique style of dress, and when Zach tried to boss up on him and mack on Lisa, Screech was ready to beat the shit out of him by the willow trees. Screech will always be an honorary Black man as far as Im concerned.
@SURFUR I always thought that Screech was pretty three-dimensional. True, he was a nerd and goofy, but he was also always loyal to his friends, and came through for them when they needed him, and when he fell in love with a girl he really fell hard. It was an important episode, I think, in that it was one where Screech finally learned that he would need to get over Lisa and move on. But also, Lisa learned to like Screech more at least as a friend.
This is the only episode Zack and Lisa like each other. It's never brought up again. Screech was incredibly annoying on this episode. I agree when Lisa tells him "you're not my boyfriend, you never were." It's not his place to get mad just because he had an unreciprocated crush.
Lisa was also ready to put on for Zack in the episode "Masquerade Ball", when she mistook his feelings to be for her, instead of for Tori, if you remember.
Have to disagree somewhat. I know lisa never liked screech but zack supposedly being scheechs best friend should not have went after lisa. He knew how strongly he felt about her even if she didn't like him back. Should b a guy code. Don't go after a girl your friends have been with or are that into.
Though I agree he cant be mad at her he does have a right to be mad at zach because zach is supposed to be screech's best friend and if you know that he likes a girl you wouldn't kiss said girl
chase toliver true, especially since Screech gave up Kelly for Zack’s sake. Also I think Lisa, even if she didn’t want to date Screech, should still have appreciated all the nice things he did for her, the dance contest etc.
This episodes wierd in a way because it shows screech all serious and stuff and you hardly EVER saw screech like that, but he always loved Lisa, shame she never loved him back :L
I heard the show didn't want to push an interracial couple on the show after the episode received backlash. It's such a missed opportunity looking back because they really did have the best chemistry on the show imo. Even in the early episodes there was a natural chemistry between them.
The way I see it, they symbolism of Screech ripping Zack's shirt was that he was jealous that Zack could afford more expensive preppie clothes than he could, and he thought that was one of the reasons why Zack was more attractive to women than he was.
It's been years since I watched the show, but I think the shirt was one of Lisa's designs, so by ripping the shirt, he was really taking his anger out on both of them. 🤷🏽♀
This may seem funny to all off you but here in canada when we have beef with someone we rip off their shirt. It's considered a very badass thing to do here.

There was a episode when Zack & Slater got into a fight over a girl b4 Belding broke it up so how come in this episode that Zack & Screech did not throw punch's like Zack & Slater did. Is it cuz Zack has been friends with Screech longer or is it cuz Screech is less weaker then he is
We little guys can surprise u in fights....Screech was soooo mad at him, I think Screech would have giving him a run for his money.......Zack would have a nice shiner or a fat lip, if Screech got knocked, he would just keep getting up and coming at him.....hence the 1st Rocky fight when he got his faced smashed, but still kept coming after Apollo, no matter how much damage Rocky was taking! But this is acting.
