Nah, this is more for when you need something quick on site. Quarries can do this for much cheaper because they do it at a stupid huge scale with a tiny amount of labor cost. But you have to haul it so if it's less than a truck load then it may make sense to screen your own gravel. If you need yards and yards and yards then you're coming out ahead just buying from a quarry.

I think a slightly lower speed on the rotation would allow to not have unscreened rocks falling in the pile. they are ejected while on the bucket and not in the screener yet,they don't have enough time.

Patrick Bates we have over 30 different models to fit almost any operation and most of our customers pay their FlipScreens off in a few months. Some examples of profitability: I have a customer who gets $75 per ton for his river rock With an S45, he can make $147,600 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 2” mesh. With an E30, he can make $64,800 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 2” mesh With a BL65, he can make $194,400 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 2” mesh With a WL130, he can make $423,000 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 2” mesh I have another customer who gets $25 per cubic yard for his topsoil With an S45, he can make $21,300 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 1” mesh With an E30, he can make $7,500 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 1” mesh With a BL65, he can make $28,200 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 1” mesh With a WL130, he can make $61,200 worth of saleable product in a 12-hour day with a 1” mesh

That Flip Screen is a very useful attachment for someone wanting to improve their land or for a small/medium scale landscape bus. Pit run material is cheap and screening it or your own material would be a cheaper alternative to buying screened material.

I would say yes it is worth it. Why buy stuff you already have on your property. Instead of buying topsoil , fill or gravel use the money to buy a tool -attachment. Not just Thinking about the job you're doing now but also the jobs you might have down the road. That's how to save $$$. Not to mention the satisfaction of doing it yourself!!!

Great video Andrew I really like the Flip Screen I think it’s really Inventive idea on ways to screen material at the same time it seems like triple the work and on top of it it’s an expensive piece of equipment. When they sell this equipment they should include a respirator and goggles to protect from the dangers of dust inhalation and I irritation from all the dust that it causes. I bet you’re really wish you had an enclosed cab LOL that could really make the difference of having a good day versus a bad day it’s time to upgrade to a new machine that has an enclosed cab and air-conditioning LOL It’s great to see Levi enjoy his supervisor position and making sure the job is done right lol 😂

Looks like the RPM of the screening attachment was slightly too slow, allowing material to drop out the screen and straight out the opening when you started each screening run.
@joshuahill1984
@joshuahill1984 5 лет назад
The FlipScreen is designed to run at 24 RPM, which is the right speed to retain most material inside the bucket.

HI Andrew , the trick is to fill come to the dump site and flip half a turn when the stones fall keep shaking it do not flip it full circles or the rocks will just fall out through the filling gap. since its only stones they roll a lot , when you are doing smaller screen it works perfect in full circles ... cheers

Very handy tool to have especially for small to medium jobs. Add in a rock crusher and you've got a complete solution to making road base gravel, topsoil and medium sized rocks for landscaping.

@joshuahill1984

The FlipScreen is designed to operate with the bucket 1/3 full to allow the material to flip and fall inside the bucket, which helps to separate material and increase production.

@fie1329
@fie1329 5 лет назад
Seems pretty efficient to me. I mean, you have to get the material on the screen anyways and with this thing you rotate a bit and you got your pile. You can even screen it directly in a truck. Any kind of that work takes time but for what it does, I think it does it pretty good. And it seems to bring better results than what ever they used before.

you folks seem to be forgetting one very important detail.... He said the initial pile when he started was "tailings", so LOTS of valuable topsoil has already been taken out of the end results that we see here. So, this demonstration isn't a true representation of how much topsoil would be produced from a random/regular scoop of dirt somewhere else on the property.
@briangardiner1015
@briangardiner1015 5 лет назад
@@PatrickWagz I doubt they got rich from the topsoil. If you don't plan on making much more then 50 or 100 yards it might do ok. But I heard it cost 17K. I woild like to see it run 1/4 or 1/2 inch material.
