hello, so in your opinion it is possible that they sold me a refurbished iPhone XS “as new”, with an LCD screen instead of an oled screen? because looking at the phone from the side, the curve that the screen makes with the body is not fluid, but there is a hump as if the screen protrudes more than it should.
Thanks for this wonderful presentation. I have a question: how do these panels compare when it comes to durability? Is it true that soft panels are much durable than hard panels? will the hard panel break easily if mishandled during assembly or disassembly?
The soft panels are more flexible and are less prone to cracking when someone drops them. We use the soft panels in our repairs and they seem to do just fine when we are handling them.
I have à rinoshield screen protector and case, and both haven't taken any damage in a drop down. I found some little cracks underneath the screen that made it turning completely black and had to change it
Great video. Thanks so much for explaining the different screens. Unfortunately we the customer don’t even ask the repairer what screens they are using and just more interested in price except if we get Apple to do the repairs. Btw what type of screen does Apple use on their iPhone X?
It's probably best you ask the person your're purchasing from directly. They may expect you not to know the difference. I recently got my screen repaired, only to have it crack again a week later! I confronted the repair shop, and they told me there was no way for them to use cheap parts because the X series was so new that they weren't even selling aftermarket products yet (Big fat lie obviously smh). I didn't realize the difference until, I learned how to fix my X myself.
@@casperluxe8642, I actually run a repair business and have done so for 3 years and the one thing I know is that there are a lot of rogue suppliers out there. I think this video states the boarders on the soft OLED are smaller than the hard OLEDS but I would like a definitive way to be sure as I do not want returning customers as hard OLEDS are not worth upsetting customers over.
Cliff Richards hey man I have been doing repairs for 2 years now and it’s great. I actually don’t do it full time yet because of my full time job and my location but if you dont mind, could you add me on Facebook or instagram @bryantphonerepair? I have a few questions about suppliers and parts
