i love this guy. Hes so chill. I see a quiet sense of humor, I dont see ego. Hes the reason I went to the movie, I liked him before I ever saw this movie, I dont even know why he just has it together. it turned out to be a great movie.
I'm addicted to his interviews... and I know I'm not the only one. The more you know about him the more you wanna know. He is a hard worker, he is sweet and he is such a beautiful human being.
Love how he credits people involved in this movie. He is really articulate and smart and humble. Not many hollywood actors are like that. Give him and Oscar already!!! Great job Rami Malek and everyone involved in the move! Loved it !
He is fascinating as himself as well as Freddie. His pattern of speech and articulation just oozes intelligence. His movement and facial expressions draw you in and his voice and intonation just make you hang on every word he says. Really interesting modern day actor. He really deserves every accolade for this role.
The way Rami speaks about Freddie brings tears to my eyes. He loves him so much, you can really feel it... he was honestly the perfect person for the role
"And the Oscar goes to...........Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhapsody!!!!" He deserves the Academy Award for Best Actor!! What a fabulous performance in the movie!
You know, it's people like Rami Malek who carry forward the resonance and power of art. Lots of comments on Queen videos now complain that music today is trash compared to what it used to be; I disagree, I think the problem is that big music companies don't want to take risks, and the general public is content with listening to inauthentic reruns of old patterns. Truly profound and talented artists are still absolutely out there. Musicians, writers, actors, visual artists, etc. Humanity hasn't stopped feeling emotions too big to just blah about. We needed (still need
Thank you for writing this. Someone finally found The words to say it. Specially now when The world forgot what it was like to take risks. Somehow The film gave me the same feel good feeling I have when I watch a fantasy or fairytale film, and this was a movile about our world not to long ago. Gave me so much hope.
"We need people like Rami Malek who take their work seriously but don't take themselves too seriously" this is so important! We should all strive to be those people. Completely agree with the entirety of your very eloquent comment.
I couldn't have said better. Exactly, we need artists who ignite emotions and ideas in the audience hearts especially in this era of indulging yourself in a smartphone screen and scrolling down as your life goes.
Rami didn't just portrayed Freddie Mercury, he learned how to be like him. To do a job on someone who's so extraordinary and human isn't easy, but Rami did really amazing.
I love how kind and respectfull Rami speaks about the cast, crew and production and with such humor at the same time. Plus, it's so relaxing to just listen to him, his calm voice, his calm behavior. He deserves the oscar nomination for his role and not just the nomination, but also the oscar itselve! I think what Bohemian Rhapsody did, is creating another huge fanbase for Queen. The younger generation, including myself (born 1986) and I think that is a huge thing for a movie!
It's a surreal feeling to watch an actor you have a little crush on just rant and rave about your idol the same way you have countless times to friends who just nod and hope you'll eventually shut up. If a fantasy of mine were to come true, I would get an hour or two to grab drinks with Rami and gush over how much this phenomenal gift from Heaven inspired so many, ourselves included. Good on you, Rami. Way to be passionate, humble, and full of life. Freddie would be proud of you.
That was the best interview I’ve seen on the film. The interviewer did a great job, just letting Rami talk. The more I see of Rami, the more I am drawn to him. He’s completely mesmerizing. Articulate, humble, passionate, he completely draws me in. I could listen to him for hours. He’s so intelligent and has a beautiful soul. After watching this interview, I realize that most (not all, but most) interviews today, in any media, in any forum, are just nonsense - formulaic and prescribed, and although they contain words, not much is being said. Empty fluff. Not with Rami, he lets us into the rarified world of acting and filmmaking. He’s so generous - with his information, and, emotionally. I LOVED this piece! Well done! Rami you deserve an Oscar. ❤️
I wonder who's going to play the role as Rami Malek in 40 years? A film about a wonderfull person and an incredible actor. I think I'm in love with this guy. At least in some awkward way. He seems to be such a lovely person. Could watch him talk and act for hours
I have totally fallen in love with Rami Malek and have so much respect for him. He is so humble, kind, and well spoken. I watched Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time last week and can not stop watching interviews with him. I love how he graciously accepts compliments for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury, but then immediately says how wonderful everyone else was. I also love how he refuses to talk about Bryan Singer. The movie is about the celebration of Freddie Mercury and Queen, and Rami makes sure that interviewers respect that. He is also a wonderful storyteller. I could listen to him talk for hours.
he is so well-spoken. such a pleasure just listening to him talking about this project. and by the way he tells something really interesting, not just boring facts. something about production that not so many actors usually reveal but so many of listeners and viewers wanna know :)
Okay. This young man is a genius! If he approaches his craft of acting like this, then I'm sold. Rami is compelling. I knew nothing about him until these interviews. Now, I need to see the movie and Mr. Robot. Can't wait!
I feel complete about the way he talks about Freddie. You can tell he adores him and he’s marked him forever. Rami is so sensitive and smart, i love this guy.
this is one of the best interview I've seen on rami malek on the movie. I appreciate how the interviewer gave a lot of room for rami to share his insights
What a fabulous actor. Great interview and Rami is so authentic and comes over so totally at ease with himself and his capabilities. I especially love how he refers to Freddie in the present tense. You can feel the genuine love and admiration he has for Freddie and his immense talent. A tremendous piece of casting and a tremendous performance. Love him 💕
I love the way he talks about Freddie....he adores him and probably that's why he played Freddie so well.Malek is a very smart, humble, sensitive person and very talented actor.I hope he gets an Oscar!
This was probably the best Bohemian Rhapsody interview with Rami I have seen. I feel he could express so much about his process and about Freddie, it was so intriguing. I didn't want it to end!
Wow. It's awespiring to watch Rami talk about Freddie in such a passionate way. It's just incredible the amount of work and love he poured into creating this character. I'm in awe, really.
wow! he learned so much about the guy he portrayed in the span of doing the movie, and shares that now to all of us. Freddie, through Rami, is in the works now - teaching us to celebrate life and our individuality, and reaching our dreams.
Best interview of Rami Malek about BoRhap so far. He’s well articulate. Some of what he said in this interview had been said in other interviews. Somehow he retold it better in this one.
OMG such a fantastic interview. I've seen other interviews of him with Jimmy F. , Jimmy K and Seth Myers but in this one he seems so relaxed and himself. I love hearing the back story of him getting the role in the movie and meeting the other members of Queen. He is so eloquent and charismatic himself. I've said it before - Mr. Mercury is raising his microphone in approval. P.S. - "No dude i'm done" has got to be one of the best lines in this interview!!
I resisted seeing this film but was blown away. Freddie and Queen all so brilliant .. Rami’s portrayal certainly amazing. The film treated Freddie and Queen with respect. I’m now obsessed with them, more so than I ever have been. This opens them up to a broader audience and young people who can maybe understand what it’s like to be original. Not a copycat.
i don't think ive ever seen someone as passionate, articulate, and humble as rami malek. hes the chillest dude who likes to throw jokes but hes also incredibly intelligent and so deeply in love with his work and what it ensues. hes a captivating human.
I really like the way Rami names and gives credit to the people we don't hear much about ie. movement coaches, makeup artists, wardrobe personnel etc. He doesn't take all the credit in any respect. He is so intelligent, he fully realizes "it takes a village" to make a great movie! Have seen "Mr. Robot" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" and have great respect for Rami's gift as an actor. I also admire the humility. Hope he never changes his way of being.
So impressed with Rami and his impeccable portrayal of Freddie. I was in that generation that had amazing rockers like Queen in real time and Rami, together with his fellow actors captured the magic in that era perfectly!
20:36 Listening to Rami talk about Freddie Mercury with so much passion is like listening to Lin Manuel Miranda talk about Alexander Hamilton. I could listen to him talk about Fred's history for hours.
what a humble guy, he gives great interrsting, insightful interviews, I need to find my own rami, seen the movie, he totally nailed it, he got into freddys mindset
I've always been a fan of seeing Rami in movies/shows but I never used to watch his interviews, boy have I been missing out! He is so well spoken and humble, his soul is absolutely radiant ❤️
Rami is so intelligent, articulate and portrayed Freddie with so much love and respect. It makes me love him even more. I love how he spoke of researching and developing his character, his process brought him to an authentic and deep understanding of the frailties and the power of this man. I love how he encapsulated the point of the whole movie: that we need to embrace and embody our authentic selves and I felt this was really an underlying theme. I also love how he deflected and refused to engage in gossip or maligning a former director, Rami is a class act. I have so much respect for him and a new and deeper understanding of Freddie and his journey through his portrayal. It’s really a universal story, aren’t we all searching for somebody to love and to be loved and accepted as we are. Thank you!!!
I love this interview. I first saw Rami Malek as Benjamin in Twilight. I have seen the trailers for Mr. Robot and have just started watching it. I wasn't going to comment but hearing a non-Southerner say "Bless his heart." It just made me burst out laughing. I love how humble he is and he definitely deserved the Oscar. I am excited to see what roles he will take in the future.
What a talent he is! As a ballet dancer myself, he just GETS how movement and character are important. He's tuned in and I'm completely obsessed and fascinated by him. He actually made me teary when talking about Freddie.
Great interview, fantastic moderator - he kept everything on track and brought interesting questions, but also allowed for "fun," It felt like a intimate one-on-one conversation even though it was in a room full of people. Rami Malek is an absolute legend, I'm happy he's getting the recognition and parts he deserves - Bohemian Rhapsody deserves *all the oscars*
Thank you so much...i feel in love with Freddie in my youth...saw Queen as a teenager...found out he died while i was training in a hospital. I think i finally said a little goodbye, and " i still love you too"
Thank you Rami Malek and the crew for bringing Freddie back to life for us fans. I truly hope the next generations see this movie & fall in love with Queen, just as I did as a teen. In that way, Freddie Mercury ❤ will live on Forever. ❤
Fantastic interview. I loved the well thought out questions and how the interviewer gave Rami space to talk. He’s so intelligent and articulate, I could listen to him for hours. I love how much he loves Freddie.
this is the best interview of all. very calm, very comprehensive, and rami is very charismatic and has a big, very apparent respect towards his work and Queen. fantastic
So it sounds like Bryan Singer has the same mentality as Sasha Baron Cohen with wanting a darker, more graphic depiction of Freddies personal life. I don’t need to see Fred banging a bunch of men or doing lines of coke to get the impression that he liked to have a good time. I thought the finished product did a great job addressing all aspects of his life.
Hulkamaniac418 excellent perspective. Freddie Mercury was so much more than his sexuality. The critics wanted this movie to go down that route and trashed it because it did not. The people who love Queen LOVE the movie so ENOUGH SAID
and also who love queen are absolutely aware of their rnr lifestyle. or for that matter any music fan is aware of this kind of stuff so i don't get the point if they want to center a movie around this aspect of their lives. i'm glad they did it the way they did and with rami instead of sasha
I totally agree. Before I saw the movie, I was hoping they wouldn't go into great details about his sexual adventures, and was so happy that they didn't. I truly loved the movie ❤️. Rami's performance is truly Oscar worthy.
@@Cheekylory anyway they are all were/has been/is/will be coy about this and the rest of us it's for our imagination, we all should have plenty...so, case closed
TO Halkamanic418: The Movie was a tribute to Freddie who gave to the world musically what it never had. His contributions cannot nor will be topped ever musically. If your into the sexual stuff well how would you like your sexapades splashed all over in every news paper ? How do you feel now or do you just get off on it? Anyway this movie was about His musical gifts to the world. Take it or leave it.
Rami was amazingly perfect as Freddie. So much so that when I went home after seeing the movie and started binging on Freddie videos it took me a minute to tell myself that yes this is the real Freddie not Rami. I ADORE them both and if only for a brief moment Rami brought him back to us. Thank you Rami.
I'm sure Freddie was around when you guys made the film. Absolutely positive about that. He helped you in spirit and man is he enjoying the attention he's getting again now. ❤❤❤❤❤
That's showing respect For Freddie and Queen.Rami malek nailed the role.I'm so glad that, that baron cohen guy didn't do it.Rami gave an oscarwinning performance.Give the man an oscar
Rami's understanding of Freddie is so touching as is his commitment to learn more about his life and bring his story to all of us. His performance was transformative! He deserves the Oscar!
That's exactly how I felt after leaving that cinema:One can be anything they want to be, no fear and no apologies!!Rami transmitted this feeling through his amazing performance to all of us!! That what I call a great actor!💖
Rami is perfect. Freddy is perfect. everything about this is perfect. Freddy is watching this with a cigg in one hand, a vodka in the other and a giant smirk on his face.
