Screenwriting Challenge: My Plan for Writing a Screenplay that actually works

I'm attempting a 100-day screenwriting challenge. It's my big hairy audacious goal for the year and I'll share how I outlined the challenge as well as how I plan to write a screenplay and achieve my goal in 100 Days.
This challenge was inspired by ‪@CreativePepTalk‬ podcast where an interview was done with ‪@stramba‬ who smashed her biggest goal in 100 days and then wrote a book about her experience. You can watch how she documented her journey by checking the ‪@HelloFears‬ RU-vid channel. I reference both the podcast and Michelle in the video.

I'm an aspiring screenwriter and although I've written a few movies, I've had some quiet moments in trying to get the word out about my films. This 100 day challenge is an attempt at me working towards my goal of forming a new adventure screenplay while inviting others into my world and sharing my journey.
I will also continue to make tutorials for how to create videos for RU-vid and who knows, I may even film the film that I create. At least, I am keeping that in mind as I write the movie.

@@MargueriteFaure I've written parts of a feature and some full treatments for television scripts, but I want to finish a full screenplay while also working on my stand-up comedy. I've realized that following my dream means putting in much more work than before so I've been stepping it up.

I'm busy writing a script for a video about loglines- it'll be out in two or three weeks. If you have some loglines that you think would be good to mention- let me know. I've been writing since 2004... I have sold one (very low price), optioned (Amazon 45-day) and had an Agent, but she couldn't multi-task. But you mentioned CONSISTENCY, that's what has been keeping me going all these years. That and PERSISTENCE. It adds up to PERSEVERANCE! And you're never too OLD to learn.

I've been a non-writing writer (horror) for the last 9 years. Prior to that I wrote and sold one novel (nominated for a Bram Stoker Award), two novellas, 12 short stories, and got hit by writer's block. I decided a month ago I would start writing again ... soon (that's what I keep saying). Then I saw your challenge and wanted to tell you how inspiring it was to watch your video. Whatever happens, after 100 days will be positive, because you're quite clever and I'm sure you'll be successful as a writer. Oh, I am writing again also. I've got several story ideas and I just need to sell one to believe in myself again. Anyway - sorry for the ramble and good luck. You can do it.

@@MargueriteFaure I'm not sure if this is what you need. When I was writing I'd have to come up with a one or two-sentence summary to explain a story. When someone asked, "What's it about?" We'd tell them the basic idea. OK - a story I'm writing (possible novel or novella) has the working title, Gone and the inspiration is a line from an old Joni Mitchell song, Big Yellow Taxi: "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone." The main character remains in an unhappy marriage because he doesn't want to lose his daughter. He is given the chance to correct his life (I write horror and fantasy). To explain the story I'd say something like, What if we could return to that moment we made the wrong decision, the one that destroyed our life. What if redoing things meant the one person we loved never existed? What if we still remembered her? Sounds like something I'd put on the back cover of a book. LOL Looking forward to watching your videos. :)

@@NashvilleTravelConcierge wow- that sounds super interesting! I like how you asked those questions. A logline is a tad different, but I'll explain it in depth in a future video. I have to admit though- I think I may like the idea of asking questions because it makes things super personal. You sort of buy-in because the questions are relatable. Very cool :)

:20 THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, YOU STAY DOING WILD SHT!!! 🤯Q: what are the different types of cameras you have in your 3 camera set up? Also, I'm so excited for this 100 day challenge for you!
