From what I heard, they originally recorded it with Nas, but Nas wanted too much money for the feature so they said fuck it, let's go get Mega and Hav to bless it and they ended up with this version. I think there's another version like this with alternate verses too. And then Nas took the beat and replaced everyone's verses with his own (his original verse on the first version and 2 new ones) and put it on his 10th anniversary album.
