I had the opportunity to play on a nice Steinway, so I got a good recording of this piece. You may notice that I incorporated the way that Sultanov plays it, and I tried to mix in some Horowitz as well.

That's right. And what I really like with this etude is that there are a lot of ways to interpret it. There is no 'correct' or 'wrong'. Also Scriabin himself played it totally differently than most of the pianists nowadays.
