As a developer, sometimes when you forget how to do something and have to review, being able to locate tutorials like this that are very well made, clearly spoken, and get straight to the point are a LIFESAVER. Thank you, please keep up this content, it is very much appreciated!
Bro frankly speaking, your tutorial are just amazing, you are the next brackeys of yt, ur content quality is increasing day by day, plz never give up , although u are underrated right now but remember all time are not same, just keep the spirit and good luck. 👏👏.
Why Unity completely forgot that many games playing without a mouse... try to scroll using gamepad only... And waste your time to make your own autoscroll solution instead of developing your game...
Instead of texts starting from up and moving down, i wanted texts to start from below and moving up. Changing content's "Child Alignment" doesn't do anything for me :( Can anyone help? Edit: fixed it by editing Content's Pivot(0.5, 0), setting Content's posY to 0 and editing Content's Reverse Arrangement
Should be a no-brainer, but also DO NOT delete EventSystem from the project. Accidently did that at one point and wandered for an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't interact with the Canvas
Yeah I got really stuck because of that one time for like 3 months didn't know wtf happened and I couldn't develop the game. One day I read about event systems and I got so pissed.
if we have image instead of the text and each image has its raycast target ON, I cannot scroll when the mouse is on top of the image. Could you suggest a solution?
following the same steps with buttons gives me some very bad results, the scroll starts moving by itself, snaps randomly, when I click and release the scroll keeps on following the mouse etc, Unity makes scrolling a massive chore
again similar comment as in another video - just loving your videos♥, i can always learn so much from them, could you also make a video on this topic for the UI-Toolkit?🙏🙏 I'm struggling so darn much with this
Just wanted to say I tried a bunch of UI-related tutorials and for some reason, yours was the first one for me that actually clicked and helped me understand it better. Fast and to the point and well explained. Thanks for making the video!
This is awesome, but anyome know how to make a scroll view that works better one mobile? For me its a bit strange on mobile, and I have no clue how to adjust the scrolling speed, etc.
Hello first This was very helpful but when I scroll the content go right back down and I need that when You scroll the content stays and not reset to position How can fix it please?
Doesnt work, tried in unity 2021 and created the scroll rect having as child a horizontal layout group with content size fitter with preferred size the horizontal and adding some images and dont move at all dragging with mouse, also this would need a mask
Thanks for that video. Unity's UI sometimes real messy even for experienced devs. You provide helpful information without useless details straightly about theme of the video!
Great video man. Only issue I had was my Scrollbar was a child of Scroll Area, and if it was outside of the Scroll Area it wouldn't appear, but if it was inside like how I originally had it, I couldn't interact with the scroll bar, it was just move as though I was swiping the screen to scroll. I fixed this by un-childing the scrollbar from the scroll area. Unsure if I made the wrong correction, because it looks like in yours , the scrollbar IS a child of Scroll Area. Either way I got it working, thanks!
Hi I have just discovered your channel. It seems quite a usefull resource, good job, keep going :) I have stumbled on this trying to learn how to make an inventory system where you may navigate a scroll rect button list, using arrow keys, in a manner that the view adjusts itself when an item (button) is sellected that is not within the visible area. (kind of like the Witcher clip you had in the intro) Would you happen to know how to do this? Maybe you could do a tutorial about that :) Cheers
*THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN!* You literally saved me! :D I'm an amateur developer and I'm using scrolling system for my news page, and this is really well explained! I found more tutorials but much of people used a ton of scripts to make this thing working. But this is brilliant tutorial without much torture. *10/10* from me.
Hi, nice Video! 10/10 described, but the scrollbar from me isn't working well. When i scroll to the left, the Handle is "scrolling" to the right. Anyone have the problem too? or, better, the solution of this problem?
Your pronunciations get some mistakes, such as 'content', 'spacing'... Please keep an eye on pronunciations. Even though, your content is so beloved! I feel like finding out a gold mine of Unity tutorials. :D
