The longer bits in this show are the funniest ones. This one, where they wrote a song specifically for a bit. And then a shorter bit, where JD goes underwater on his moped, emerges from the other side wondering where he is. It's long, because it cost thousands of dollars to actually do. A class comedy

Technically Julie and JD didn't see eye to eye. they had different vision of future, iirc she didn't want kids or something. But, Kim was perfect for JD, yes.
Nemo_Omen they had the same vision for the future, they were just at different points in their life. JD was 30 when he may Julie who was 23, and she said she didn't want kids for another 5-10 years meaning she didn't want kids until she was 33, which is completely reasonable and also when JD had his. JD shouldn't have been surprised with that 7 year age gap

If you'd bothered to actually listen to the original rendition a couple of times, you'd know this 'particular episode' features the original track, and not a cover by Zach Braff.
