Svech looks like a weasel. Plays like one too, later in game took a chop at Igor’s hand after play was stopped. I doubt Svech makes it thru this series. Cue up Rempe or Trouba or Goodrow or Cuylle or …… the list goes on. Carolina is soft soft soft

So dive or not, I’ve always been curious. How is that goaltender interference when the blue paint belongs to the goalie and the white ice is the skater’s area?? Once the goaltender leaves the crease, is he not considered “fair game”?? Genuinely asking.

@@EvanCatani Goalie equipment isn't made for body contact but for pucks, especially the helmet is only effective for impacts from directly ahead, so it's a lot more dangerous to check a goalie (the helmet actually falls off quite often when the goalie is run into) plus the goalie usually doesn't expect it. And just bumping into the goalie usually isn't a penalty, only when a player actively stops the goalie from returning to the crease. In this case it doesn't matter, that it was a goalie since he tripped him and that would have been a penalty against any player.

I'm from Philly so I obviously hate the Rangers. That said, Svechnikov didn't just use his stick to trip Shesterkin, he slew footed him - and it was pretty obvious the hit was intended to injure. Should have been a 5 minute major. Hard clean hits are one thing. This was something else altogether. Calling a blatant cheap shot like this a minor is another reason why the playoffs are getting out of control. The league won't be happy until somebody gets killed out there.

We had a goalie that had a habit of getting out of the net. Often. And sometimes he'd get hit. After telling him a hundred times we stopped caring if he got hit.

I get where the people who are basically calling it a flop are coming from but I don’t think it was, Igor wants to get back in that crease as fast as possible when he sees a white jersey. He’s a Goalie too… I don’t think flopping is his immediate reaction to a trip considering that’s probably the first time he’s been tripped in his professional career 😂

Svechnikovs left leg nwvee breaks the plane that hes gliding...he doesnt makw any movemet towards shesterkin and in fact the only movement hw makes is to try an avoid shesterkins blatent attempt to elbow as he flys by. Dude, I don't care about either of these teams. Svechnikov did that deliberately. It's obvious. He's a high-skill player, but he's been known to agitate. He made the mistake a few years ago of trying to challenge Ovechkin to a fight. He missed several games after that went south.

It was clearly embellished. He waited for the player to come, he put his body into him and flipped himself. If that hit was as hard as it looked, there’s no way Igor would get up and skate to the bench that fast. If it was real he would have been laying on the ice

Goalie stuck his leg out and caused this....really sneaky...but actually watch the video....this is the definition of embellishment!!!! So sneaky sneaky. To me...2 mins interference on blue...2 mins embellishment on blue. 5min +10 + game on blue for intent to injure, delay of game and unsportsmanlike conduct. Pause at 138 and watch freeze frame till 141...shesterkin goes for an elbow and leads his left leg as svechnikov is skating past ducking under the elbow thrown from shesterkin. Svechnikov never moves his left leg its alwys a guider with no movement...but on shesterkin only movement and with direction. This is a sneaky play....but nope....i call Shenanigans on this ....

Trouba needs to be benched I don't care that he makes 8 million a year and is the captain everytime he's on the ice its either a bad turnover like tonight which lead to the guentzel goal or he's taking a penalty. LGR
