2 Tbsp/ 25g granulated sugar
1 ( 7g ) envelope instant active dry yeast or active dry yeast ( make sure to bloom and foamy in milk and sugar mixture for 5 - 10 minutes)
3 3/4 cups/ 545g all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons/ 6g baking powder
1/4 -1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
2 large eggs
1 stick/ 115g unsalted butter
For the filling
Cooking spray or softened butter, for the pan
6 tablespoons/ 60g maple syrup
1 cup/ 220 light brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon ( add more if you prefer stronger flavor cinnamon)
Pinch of kosher salt
All purpose flour for dusting
1 stick/ 115g unsalted butter, melted and cooled
