Seems like for the most part these guys end up falling out once 1 of them becomes a bigger star. They expect the star to let them ride with them & that’s not the case. Once stars get an agent/business manager they’re told who not to hang around in order to secure their fame & fortune. So that means cutting off people that can’t do nothing for you. It’s a shitty way to end a friendship but when money is involved the only person they will stay loyal to is themselves.

Like Charlie Murphy, and a lot of other comics. They made the best of their opportunity and didn't blame another man for their failures bcz they weren't depending on another man for their success. So he knows what happens if you don't let a talented individual or individuals stand on their own after you give them opportunity and exposure. You literally said you got M's bcz of a man that not only thought of you as a replacement for another comedian that was a rising star didn't show up, but he literally came and got you. Helping you take that role for yourself and I'm sorry, if I had someone do that for me. Man, I owe them thanks forever bcz they didn't have to do that. So if they didn't take me on their coattails and take care of my career like I was their spouse or child(ren), I'm cool and I wouldn't have anything to say about them sideways. That man wanted to expand his career in the field of acting, his career and dreams did not have me in them so as a 28 y/o man, husband, and father, I can't see me saying anything bad about a former friend that helped me out. I'm related to the late James Brown and my uncle played guitar for him briefly when he was just about to graduate high-school. Mr. Brown was kind enough to pay for a recording session for my uncles to record a song they wrote not long after that. It's the official school anthem for several songs here in South Carolina and when they think of or hear that song at a school or just going down memory lane they are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude bcz of the experience. That's how my generation was raised, the next man doesn't owe you anything. Be grateful if they do something to help. Be understanding if they don't.
