Switching to SCS compression but have a slit in the bottom of your handlebars? Don’t sacrifice time, effort, and overall riding comfortability by cutting them - use the Root Industries SCS Bar Adapter! This small fitting allows any bar with a pre-cut slit to be used with SCS compression, and also allows the rider to keep their current bar height.
The Root Industries Bar Adapter comes in both Standard and Oversized sizes.

If your bars are standard you get the standard one if you have oversized you have to get the oversized adapter

They pull out easily but arent supposed to come out once you install them

@@BigRevengeThey're absolutely not the same thing. HIC uses oversized bars, IHC does not. They also use completely different forks.

I have an ethic scs sleeve and it literally comes out if you pull on it but its snug enough to not come out on its own

I got it out. Had to use needle nose pliers and a hammer

Friend got a new scooter and he wanted to use his old bars which had a slit and the sleeve insert (running scs) and his new setup is hic. So we had to remove it for the compression to work
