Scuba diving in Florida. We went Scuba diving at a hidden scuba diving location in Florida. This dive site is a very unique dive spot, it is in a lagoon where a power plant discharges its cooling water. The warm water coming out of the pipe attracts many fish and corals and makes this one of the best dive sites in Florida. This scuba dive was alot of fun and I hope you enjoy this Florida Scuba dive.

@@JoeOceanside do you want to be in the next episode of MrBallen? take lots of video so he can feature it in detail. Getting sucked into a nuclear power plant inlet is not fun ! if for some reason you miss the blades inside you will be in complete darkness and thumbling around for 30 minutes or so .,and then ejected into a restricted area pool where you (may) get promptly arrested if you are still alive.

Zakaria yes it is a great spot, clean ocean water comes in with the tides so it keeps the lagoon healthy

It’s because of how hot the water is there. It’s like a bath tub there. It’s also full of radiation from the power plant.

@@Djtwilo850 yes the hot water attracts some marine life. But there should not be any radiation, the power plant is natural gas fired, not nuclear

Scuba diving electric beach on Oahu is much like this. The power plant discharge is a short swim from shore and shoots out water somewhere between bathtub and hot tub temps. There is an old sunken buoy and some other metal wreckage to play in. It's all about 25-30 feet deep so well within even my (less than professional) free diving skills. Unfortunately there isn't much reef but there's lots of smaller fish that enjoy the warmer water year round. It makes for a really fun spot to mess around at!

You can use any gloves for diving, I think he used them because they give him a good grip to hold the camera, especially in the stream of the power plant outlet :)

Hi Clarkeysam yes that is correct. Our first was only about 20 ft max, and not very long. So I figured free diving down about 7 feet would not be a problem. Thanks again for watching!
