Hey Mark nice video. I have added a tilde (~) sign to my light signals. Signaling I'm not doing great, but I'm not in need of help and fixing my issue right now. With the tilde angle you beam up when at the top curve upwards and when down angle point it a bit down. It tends to amplify the signal. Long live testing in our local lake.
Hello Mark. Thanks for that great Video an always! Are there torches you can recommend. Specially for different situations such as deeper dives, wrack dives or night dives.
There are loads of great torches today. The Mares EOS torches are the best all-rounders IMO. They're rechargeable and you can adjust the beam angle and power on the go. I love Exposure Marine torches but, they seem to be leaning away from the diving market unfortunately. The Apeks torches are lovely but, expensive. Ammonite are also a very strong brand.
Thanks great video. This is exactly how I was trained, though I have dived with others who thought the emergency and attention signals were the other way around! Good to know I'm doing it the accepted way - but worth noting that pre-dive discussions of signals to be used are definitely worthwhile when diving with someone new.
