I seen where a guy took an old jet ski and put motor in his flat bottom boat ! I cannot his name but I seen it on RU-vid ! I hope that this information helps you out !

@@steveclark4291 Hi Steve. I've done quite a bit of digging into this. I've seen the jet jons videos before. With the inflatable kayaks, you'd have to install a plywood type floor. The water inlet duct would have to be all one piece, removable, and a flat flange for mounting bolts. Specific models of waverunners & tigersharks would work but the supply of parts are limited until the junkyard or doner machines stop. The stock engines from the donors probably have too much power. A liquid cooled 10-15 hp 4 stroke that is small & compact with an electric start would be ideal. Just enough to push a couple of people & gear upstream of a flowing river. I found a motorized jetsurfboard company but they dont want to sell me anything unless I buy the entire assembly. Well, that's not going to keep my costs down. Not that outboards wont work, but I was thinking for running shallow rivers where an outboard could be problematic. 4 strokes would be more fuel efficient. Jet drives aren't as efficient as props but can't be beat for shallow water. They do make bolt on jet pumps for outboards. I enjoy thinking of stuff & making it happen but without a bottomless checkbook & free time, or no supply of materials, there's not much I can do at the moment. I don’t have Facebook but three sisters is right there at the 312 bridge. There is a boat ramp on the south side of that bridge and the three sisters is directly across from the ramp. It’s a very small ramp that doesn’t get much use. Not sure how deep. All I know is I didn’t hit bottom when jumping off and not sure of depth. I live in northern Kentucky and will be there Memorial Day weekend with my seadoos. I’m sure there’s tons of stuff there. Especially off the bridge too. Maybe Brit will be interested in tagging along. lol.
