#askmark Hi mark first i wanna thank you for all the magnificent information that you provide to us as beginners in the diving world , I want to ask you can you please make a video about explaining the mk3i surface interval gadget i have an mk3i but when I finish my first dive and i’m on my surface interval I don’t know when can I dive safe again , there is no timer or gauge line to read from and know i have completed my surface interval and I’m ready to go to my second dive , please help me mark and thank you in advance ♥️

Great video, thanks Mark. One question: you show the compass on the same hand as your computer. Does that not cause issues with interference as you mentioned earlier?

It can if it's very close, I normally keep it on the other hand for that reason

#askmark Hi mark i am from Hong Kong and planning on Traveling to bristol/ London in late September I would have a few spare days are there any dive site suggestions or any course suggestions for example tech 40 or maybe even cave diving Second question do I need to be certified in dry suit diving before I dive in UK in September

I don't use spg anymore. I have a perdix 2ti and a transmitter. So reliable that I don't need the one hose with the spg. What is your opinion on this topic?

I also use Perdix Ai, but also use mechanical SPG for redundancy. I would not rely on electronics alone at 40m depth with deco obligation.

Better safe than sorry, I have a Teric with transmitter, but would never disconnect my finimeter. Safety first, always.

I run the smallest gauge I could get on a hose shorter than my inflator, used a bit of heat shrink tubing to hold the hoses tight against each other, so it doesn't seem like anything extra or flop around but I do have that convenience when needed

I'm fine with just a transmitter. I try to keep a log of roughly how many hours it's been running so I know when to change the battery
