The truth is there is no shortages of people of all ages living just like this. No friends in real life, no family that is involved regularly, no significant others to help keep them in check, undiagnosed or untreated mental illness, addiction, and afflictions. His friend-doesn’t exist. He left the cats to their own devices when he went to the prison stream. No friend watched the cats, checked on them, or otherwise. He justifies it with lies but the best he can do is own it, do better, and proactively make sure he has a support system in place to make sure it doesn’t get this bad again. I’ll give him credit for trying, being transparent about things, and showing his work. It’s likely because he knows if and when the state or animal enforcement shows up he’ll lose his pets and may even be committed himself. He’s not capable of caring for himself, animals, or others. This is years in the making. He blames his exes but that’s not fair. He’s an adult. It’s his responsibility. He’s to blame and for the sake of the pets-I hope this never happens again. Landlords, do inspections of your property regularly!

You can never get cat pee smell out! If you don’t keep that litter clean they will go in a pile of clothes or in his case, right on his bed. Justin has been living like this for years. The last time his broom closet was clean was when his ex girlfriend Linzee was there. A couple years ago.
